Meditation

Take yourself outdoors, to a quiet area in your yard, a friends yard or a park . Find a tree that suits you. Sit under it with your back against the tree. Center yourself however is customary for you (I use deep breathing through the chakras). Start to feel yourself connect with all that is around you. The tree, the earth, the air, the sounds of the animals, and the energies emanating from them. Then concentrate your energies on your heart chakra in the middle of your chest. First visualize it as a white glowing cylinder, than as a green one. Feel the chakra open as you breathe deeply through this area. Let in light energies of all that is around you. Beauty, love, harmony and understanding. Feel it...know it. Connect with the earth and offer her your healing energy as she offers hers. Take as long as you wish. There's no need to rush. Experience this energy and become familiar with it.
When you are ready to come back, thank the elements, the deities and the Earth for their love and light. Breathe deep and when ready, you can wiggle your toes as I usually do, and let the body and spirit once again unite.
Begin a meditation journal if you have not done so. Be sure to write down the experiences of each mediation while they are still fresh in your mind. Writing about your meditations is a wonderful way to explore your meditative experience in depth for hidden meanings at a later time. You can also use it as a tool to compare several meditations or your own spiritual growth.
