"Humankind has not woven the web of life.
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together.
All things connect."

My goal is to fill this site with loads of useful information for biology teachers and their students.
I recently retired from teaching biology at Fairhope High School in Fairhope, AL. Fairhope is also my high school alma mater from which I was graduated in 1971. Our school colors are blue and gold and our mascot is a Pirate.

Over a period of 25 years in the classroom I have collected and developed many ideas. In addition, while "surfing the 'net" I have found many good sources of ideas, lesson plans, and information. Now, I'd like to share a few of my favorites with you.
My Second Term 1998 9th Grade College Preparatory Biology students completed a "Postcard Project." Their assignment was to create postcards with a biological theme suitable for mailing to 2nd and 3rd grade students across the United States.
