Malachai 3:14: Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
Malachai 3:15: And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
Malachai 3:16: Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
Malachai 3:17: And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
Malachai 3:18: Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

"You have said, 'It is futile to serve God. What did we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the LORD Almighty?" But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly the evildoers prosper, and even those who challenge God escape." Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honered his name. "They will be mine," say the LORD Almighty, "in the day when I make up my treasured possessions. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between whose who serve God and those who do not.

Beloved, sometimes we do get discouraged in our walk with the Lord but I can assure you that God does keep His promises and He does remember who is faithful and who is not. Here in Malachai, we see some of the Jews being discouraged and discontented with seeing others prosper and apparently having great lives. They look at these people who do not honor God and are wicked, proud, and arrogant and wonder, "Is God Just?". But there is another group of people here in this story, who do not murmur and question God about these seemingly injustices. They got together as a group and were faithful to God and trusted in Him and lifted one another up. Beloved, God hears our cries. He sees us in our daily struggles and knows who is faithful to Him and who is not. Malachai 3:16 says there is a book of remembrance that is kept. And when God does gather his people, his jewels, we will see that He does indeed remember and is "just" to those who love and honor Him. Dearhearts, we are His treasure, never forget that! Sometimes getting to be a jewel isn't an easy task. Have you ever wondered what it takes to become a jewel in nature? Stones turn to jewels when alot of pressure is applied to them. When they are mined they are not usually pretty and valuable. It is when they are cut and polished and shined-- then and only then can we see how valuable they are. So when you feel like you are under pressure and life is not going the way it should. Hang in there, be strong, and be faithful to God! Remember you are becoming a jewel and you are a treasure in God's eyes.

Leviticus 8:23- And he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.
Leviticus 8:24- And he brought Aaron's sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.
Leviticus 8:33- And ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days, until the days of your consecration be at an end: for seven days shall he consecrate you.

This is an interesting chapter in Leviticus beloved. Aaron and his sons are ordained as priests in front of the entire congregation of people. They are dressed in the priests garments and are equipped with all that they need to accomplish their ministry as the priests of the tabernacle. Dear hearts, we can learn so much from their example! Today as believers and adopted members into God's family, we are all priests spreading the gospel. We must prepare outselves us Aaron and his sons did! God provides us with all we need to help us in ministry to others. But we must prepare also! In reference to the above scriptures Aaron and his sons were annointed with the blood on the right earlobe, the right thumb, and the right big toe. I have heard it said that this symbolizes the need for Aaron and his sons to be ever ready to hear God's voice, ever ready to serve Him, and ever ready to follow Him! Beloved we must be ever ready too!! Also part of the ordination of Aaron and his sons was not allowing them to leave the tabernacle for several days. They were essentially set apart from everyone. Beloved we must set ourselves apart and live in the presence of God everyday. If we are to have a ministry, and we all should, we must live close to the Father to be effective. Be prepared and may your ministries always bring glory to the Father in the Name of Jesus!

Beloved, how comforting it is to be placed in God's book of remembrance. The scripture says those who feared the Lord talked to each other and the Lord listened and heard. What can this be but the church. It is so important that christians fellowship with one another. Those who are faithful to the Lord need each other for encouragement and support. When we gather together, we hear one another's testimony, sing songs of praise to our great God, hear and learn the preached word, and worship together as one in truth and in spirit. How beautiful these things must be in the eyes of the LORD Almighty! How wonderful to know that we are God's treasures, and He loves us as a man loves his son. Do not dispare of the wicked in this world. God remembers, and he will judge righteously. Hang on because it will be worth it after all is said and done. Praise His Holy Name!!

Beloved, the reality of our faith is the Lord Jesus Christ. He and He alone is our righteousness, our holiness, our hope, and our salvation. Today it is so easy to magnify the things of the world such as a man's wisdom, a man's strength, or a man's riches. The world strives to have more knowledge, to have wealth, and to be strong and beautiful. And there is nothing wrong with these things in and of themselves. But beloved, do not glory in these things. Do not devote your lives to these things. Many of us before we were saved were down and out and at the lowest points in our lives spiritually. But God, through His glorious Son Jesus, has raised us up to sit in heavenly places with Him. Let us glory and boast in Him. Let us take delight in the things that God delights in: kindness, justice, and righteousness and that we know and understand Him. And if we brag or boast, the only One worth bragging about is Christ. Praise His Holy Name!!

1John3:1: Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, these scriptures are powerful! Ordinary people like you and I can be called the children of the Creator of the Universe. According to Roman law in bible times, when a child was adopted, his old relationships, obligations, and debts were severed and canceled. The new father became owner of the adoptee's possessions, and the new son became the father's heir. As you can see from scripture above, not everyone is a child of God. The world likes to say "we all are God's children". But scripture says different. Only those who are redeemed by the blood of Jesus, only those who proclaim Jesus as Lord and Saviour of their lives, can claim to be the legal son of God. Our older brother Jesus made this possible for us. Praise His Holy Name! Now no longer slaves to the law, we have the privilege of being in God's immediate family. We have the privilege to come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace in the time of need. (Hebrews 4:16) We have the privilege to cry Abba Father, which is a warm and intimate name of God meaning in today's language, Daddy! God loves us. He desires to have this warm and intimate relationship with us. How wonderful is His love for us! Tell Him how much you love Him today. Like any father, it will make His day.

Jacob's well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour of the day. When the Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, "Will you give me a drink?" (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water." "Sir," the woman said, "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?" Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks from this water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water." He told her, "Go, call your husband and come back." "I have no husband." she replied. Jesus said to her, "You are right when you say you have no husband. The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true." "Sir," the woman said, "I can see that you are a prophet." The woman said, "I know the Messiah (called Christ) is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us." Then Jesus declared, "I who speak to you am he." Then, leaving her water jar, she went back to the town and said to the people. "Come, see a man who told me everthing I ever did. Could this be the Christ?" They came out of the town and made their way toward him. Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony, "He told me everything I ever did."

Beloved, this is the wonderful story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well. I'm sorry I couldn't print all of it here because of space allotment, but there is enough here for you to get most of the story. Our title-- One Person Can Make A Difference is so beautifully illustrated here with the woman of Samaria. Through her testimony, a lot of the city came to believe in our Lord Jesus Christ. Beloved, that is why your testimony is so important to the world. As we witness to our friends and family, telling them how wonderful our Lord is, please include your testimony. Sometimes it may be the most powerful witness you have. People can say the Bible is not true, they may say Christianity is a crock, but beloved, they will never be able to say that what Jesus did for you is a lie. They will see it in your actions, how you carry yourself in this life, and what you say. I have personally witnessed walking miracles. People who were so vile and mean that you thought there was no hope for them. Until Jesus saved them. The world cannot deny that. It cannot deny that something or someone, a higher power changed this persons life. Also people dying from terminal diseases, where doctors have given up hope. And miraculously they are healed, leaving doctors and all baffled. Beloved, it is our Lord. Praise His Name. So you see, your testimony is so very important. Tell the world what our Lord Jesus Christ did for you. It may lead someone to salvation. And Beloved, isn't that our great commission. To tell the world about Jesus.

The Secret of the Peace of God

5. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6. Be careful for nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Beloved, peace is a wonderful thing. One of the first things we receive when we accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour of our lives is a peace deep down in our hearts. Can the world give us this true satisfying peace? I think not. Only the Prince of Peace is able to do this. Praise His Holy Name! Beloved, when we pray, we have the promise of God that He hears us and will help us. That gives us peace and we should thank Him. Just as Paul writes to us, think upon things that are true, things that are noble and worthy of our respect, things that are right, which should be of God's standard and approval, things that are pure which is moral and upstanding, things that are lovely which is pleasing, and things that are admirable which is worthy of our praise. When we think of these things how can we not feel the peace of God down in our souls. A favorite saying of mine to my own precious son is: Garbage in, garbage out. When we put garbage into our minds and contemplate and dwell in this garbage, only garbage can come out of our minds, through our actions and our sayings. So beloved, stay away from garbage. Fill your thoughts with God and how wonderful He is. Fill your thoughts with His word and His promises. Think upon things that are pleasing to God and beloved, the God of peace will rest upon you.

God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is FAITHFUL. No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is FAITHFUL; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. The one who calls you is FAITHFUL and he will do it. But the Lord is FAITHFUL, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. If we confess our sins, he is FAITHFUL and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called FAITHFUL and True. With justice he judges and makes war.

Beloved, What is faithful? Our God is faithful! Praise the Lord! In just these few verses of scripture we see just how faithful He really is. He called us into a fellowship with his Son, Jesus, and he will faithfully keep us. In times of trouble and temptation, He will not allow more to be put upon us than we can bear and faithfully provides a way of escape that we may be able to bear these troubles and temptations. He faithfully establishes us in His Word and keeps us from evil. He faithfully forgives us our sins when we confess them and He cleanses us from all unrighteousness. And in the end, our Jesus, who IS Faithful and True, will judge in righteousness. Praise His Holy Name! Beloved hold on. God is faithful! His Word is faithful. He is with us! We encourage you to stay in His Word and in Prayer in the coming days. Jesus is coming back soon!

Psalm 37:23-29
23. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
24. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
25. I have been young, and now am old: yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
27. Depart from evil, and do good: and dwell for evermore.
28. For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

If the LORD delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand. I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread. They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed. Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever. For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. They will be protected forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off: the righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.

Beloved, don't worry if you stumble and are about to fall for our God will uphold you with his hand. Our God always takes care of His own. God loves his righteous and holy people and will always be with us. He is forever faithful. Trust in Him. Lean hard upon Him. And believe He is with you. His word says He will protect us for ever. We Praise Him for that. Hold on to the salavation that was given to us through His Son Jesus Christ. Hold on to Him. Don't let the worries and cares of this world separate you from Him and His promises. We encourage you to stay in His word and in Prayer in the coming days. Jesus is coming back soon!
