Instructor
of the Week Award
3 Sheets 2 the wind is
proud to announce that the first instructor of the week award goes to Dr.
Rayford Taylor of the History department. Dr. Taylor has been teaching
history here at JSU since 1963. He received his B.A. at Birmingham-Southern
College, an M.A. from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. from the University
of Georgia.
Dr. Taylor teaches American History, History of Early America to 1783, Antebellum Plantations of N.E. Alabama, etc. He makes an otherwise boring subject, American History, interesting with his many stories and tales of life in early America. His vast knowledge of the subject, shows in his animated accounts of how our culture has evolved and changed since colonial days of the past. It is the opinion of this editor that Dr. Taylor's performance and dedication to the students at this university is deserving of a rating of 3 Sheets+++++. He is off the scale. This university is blessed to have Dr. Taylor as a member of its faculty. |
3 Sheets 2 the Wind would
like to honor the faculty of JSU with our Instructor of the Week Award.
This award is given each week to the instructor on campus, in the opinion
of the editors of this site, who has done an outstanding job of educating
his/her students. If you would like to nominate an instructor for this
award, please send us their name and a brief statement containing the reasons
