1339 Skorri Manysons sends Cedric the Fox, Fenoal and Archon to spy on the Pharoah.
1341 Bollini wiped out in an attack on the Urlanging by the Ingisi, a clan already allied to the Pharoah.
1344 Cedric the Fox returns alone from his mission and Skorri holds a meeting of the full ring to decide what to do.  Most vow to stay and fight but a quarter leave to live with the Lonisi and another quarter vote to form a new clan.  Both of these decisions are given full approval by the whole clan.

Storm Season Blunt Ashbjorn is chosen as chief of the new clan and on a successful hero quest to form the new clan he returns with the Crown of Amber which leads to the new clan being called the Amber Clan.

Sacred Time The Urlanging make their sacrifices for prosperity, safety and fecundity for the Amber Clan and for war for themselves.  They renounce their Balanced status and adopt a War Clan status.

1345 Sea Season Skorri and Blunt send an expedition to scout out a new homeland.  The party led by Skerri Brightspear travels north to negotiate passage through Lonisi, Brown Boar and Balmyri lands.

A faction of the Lonisi ask to join the Amber Clan.  They are welcomed with opened arms.

Another group led by Angorri Farnanson, trader of the Talking God and made up of Ashart Bolison, Dagbjartr Haukson, and Ferena Unasdaughter, six fyrd men, three Issaries initiates and two hunters goes to Smithstone to purchase supplies.   There they meet and battle the followers of a Heortling knight Sir Withal and take the supplies that they had purchased for the Pharoah.

The scouting party meets with the Brown Boars who refuse to allow passage to the Amberi unless they agree to either fight them or go on a raid with them against the Lonisi or uz.  Skerri is forced to agree to a raid against the uz.

The main body of the Amberi travels to Lonisi lands where they adopt the Elmali.  Then they travel on to meet with the Brown Boars and agree to a raid on a uz village.  The raid is a great success and the Brown Boars are pleased.

Fire Season The scouting party heads north and after a battle with the Horsespawn meet with and negotiate passage through Balmyri lands.  The main body of the Amberi defeat Red Kare and his raiders.

Balmyri treachery is discovered and the Amberi are forced to head southeast instead into unknown territory.

Earth Season Under pressure from the Women's circle Blunt finally agrees to set aside his year wife Skerri Brightspear in favour of a proper Ernaldi wife

The bard Aski Askison composes a song he calls Skerri's Needle which he performs for no one.  Somehow however the song is heard and starts spreading among the young men who are disappointed with Blunt's leadership.  Blunt and the ring demand that he stop singing the song and he professes his innocence.  The bard is fined three cows by the ring.  An attempt to ban the song is met with ridicule and four assailants attack the bard beating him severely.    He identifies one of his attackers as Oddi Four-scars, one of Blunt's weaponstorms.  Blunt refuses to exile the weaponstorms and offers compensation instead.  The bard refuses and leaves the tula vowing to never return.

A scouting party sets off to explore the western part of the valley where they encounter chaos blobs intervene in a battle against some broos and meet some Orlanthi inhabitants of the western end of the valley.  (See Episode 2 : Here We Stand and Here We Stay : Scene 1 : Meeting the Neighbours).  The scouting party returns with the Black Rock chief and some of his followers to negotiate an alliance.

The wedding party leaves Torkani lands have successfully completed their mission and headed home.  Along the way Thorgunna Brynhildsdaughter starts having dreams about a river somewhere.  These dreams are exceptionally vivid and sap her strength.   The wedding party also encounters Aski Askison on the road.  They hear his story and learn that he had been attacked and severely beaten the same day he had left the tula.  They convince him to return to seek justice under their protection (See Episode 2 : Here We Stand and Here We Stay : Scene 2 : Here Comes the Bride?).  Finally just before the end of Earth Season they return to the tula.

As Thorgunna nears the vale the Sounder River becomes more and more unsettled and dangerous tearing away at the bank and any living things that approach it.  A carl loses some cattle to the river and initiates a law suit against it.  The river's violence peaks when Thorgunna enters the vale but settles immediately when Enerin the Kind puts Thorgunna into a deep sleep.

Iskalli Endalson and his Elmali bloodline start construction of their own stead to the east of Blunt's stead during the middle of the season.  They have lots of problems with broos who seem strangely disciplined for broos.

Dark Season Skeli Redbeard uses his magic to determine who attacked the bard and learns that it was a gang of broos.  Blunt and Aski settle their differences but Aski stays in Skerri's household instead of his.

A group of Praxian Storm Bulls who visit the valley every year at this time make the rounds to collect their tribute from the Water People.  The clan manages to keep relations between the groups pleasant and the Storm Bulls offer to leave the valley to their guardianship IF they can prove that they are capable of protecting it from chaos.  They decide to hang around until the Amberi can prove this.

The Black Rock delegation meanwhile has been present for weeks trying to negotiate who gets what.

Blunt decides to send most of the fyrd to help Iskalli and the bulk of the warriors head east to do so.  They decide to block off the broos caves in the hills to the north of the stead and fight one large battle with the broos that sees them emerge unscratched havng wiped the broos out.

The clan finally decides what to do with the Water People, forcibly resettling them to the east of the tula nearer to Prax.

They also decide to leave the ruined stead that formerly belonged to the Black Rock clan in their hands and offer military help.
