Brian glanced at his watch. "Oh you're right! We gotta run... uh, Michele? Could you give Nick a ride back? He came in my car and we've gotta split."
Michele glared at Nick and sighed, "Fine, let's go." Orianne thanked her and she ran off with Brian. As soon as they were out of sight, Nick turned to Michele and smiled. "What?" she asked.
"Nice work... you should get an Oscar for your convincing performance!" laughed Nick.
"Oh, whatever!" she replied, as she slapped Nick's arm. "C'mon, let's get outta here before someone sees us together."
They walked out of the mall into the bright sunshine and Nick just looked at Michele, silent until she would notice him.
Michele turned to him and smiled, "What are you doing?"
Nick shrugged innocently, "Just wondering if you were ACTUALLY going to take me home..."
Michele pretended to be offended. "Nick Carter! You always have one thing on your mind, don't you?"
"Hey! I never said anything!" he held up his hands in protest. He paused. "... So? Where are we going?" Michele rolled her eyes and unlocked the car doors as Nick gave her a big smile.
"Where do you WANT to go?" Michele replied coyly.

On her way home Jennifer passed Nick's place. She figured she would stop by and see when he was expected back. Maybe she'd wait for him there. She pulled up the driveway and rang the doorbell.
The door opened and A.J. stood there with Jamie behind him. "Hey Jen, what's up?"
"Do you know when Nick's gonna be back?"
Jamie and A.J. exchanged glances and shook their head. "Nope," Jamie replied.
Jen sighed and decided just to go home. "Okay, thanks guys. Let him know I stopped by and ask him to call me?"
"Sure," A.J. assured her.
"Thanks, see ya later." Dejectedly, Jen returned to her car. As she glanced in rearview mirror, to see if the road was clear to back out, she caught sight of a car driving by quickly. But not fast enough for her to not notice who the two people were in the car. Jennifer backed out of the driveway and headed home for real this time.

"She looked really frazzled," commented Jamie as A.J. shut the door behind them.
"You don't think she knows, do you?" A.J. asked.
"I don't know... but if she does know, how did she find out?!"
"Who knows... but Nick definitely got himself into a complicated mess."

"You are so sneaky..." Brian told Orianne. "How did you figure them out?"
Orianne looked over her shoulder and saw Michele touch Nick's arm. And they were both laughing. "Jen told me that she suspected something and I didn't realize it till I actually saw them together. Looks like it's true..."
Brian turned around to see it for himself and Orianne was right. They were talking, laughing and getting up to leave together. "You gotta admit, they're good though... really good."
Orianne sighed, "But not good enough because people are catching on. Like us... and Nick's girlfriend."
