Four Types of Beings
(1) Andaj - which are born from eggs (birds, crocodiles, fish etc)
(2) Swedaj - which are born from sweat (worms, flying insects etc)
(3) Jaraayuj - which are born secured in bags (human beings, four-legged animals etc)
(4) Udbhij - Sthaavar creation (trees, creepers, grass etc)

Four Things Related to Moon
(1) Chakor bird - Chakor is crazy after the Moon. It continuously looks at it.
(2) Chakavaa  bird - Chakavaa and its female Chakavee cannot see each other while the Moon is out, even if they are sitting next to each other. They just call each other the whole night.
(3) Kamalinee flower - Kamalinee flower blooms seeing the Moon and closes in the morning before sunrise. 
(4) Lotus flower - Opposite to the Kamalinee flower, the lotus flower blooms seeing the Sun and closes with sunset. To add to it Bhramar (Bhanvaraa, or bumble bee) loves lotus flower very much. It sits there to extract honey, but in love it forgets when evening falls and thus closes itself inside the lotus flower. When lotus flower blooms in the morning, the bee is already dead thus loses its life in love of lotus flower.

Four Places of Kumbh
Every three years Kumbh falls in these places.
(1) Haridwaar, (UP)  (2) Allaahaabaad, (UP)  (3) Ujjain, (Madhya Pradesh)  (4) Naasik, (Mahaaraashtra)

Four Varn
(1) Braahman - born from Aadi Purush's mouth, and their Dharm is to study and teach Dharm to other Varn, to do Yagya for themselves and others (2) Kshatriya - born from the arms of Aadi Purush, and their Dharm is to protect other Varn (3) Vaishya - born from thighs of Aadi Purush, and their Dharm is to do trade and business  (4) Shoodra - born from the feet of Aadi Purush, and their Dharm is to serve other Varn.

Five Elements (Panch Mahaa Bhoot)

(5) Satee Saavitree (Satyavaan's wife)

Five Immortal Purush
(1) Naarad Jee,  (2) Ashwatthaamaa (Dronaachaarya's son),  (3) Hanumaan Jee,  (4) Kaagbhushundi Jee, and (5) Kripaachaarya

Seven Rishi or Sapt Rishi (Ursa Major or The Great Bear)
Every Manvantar has seven Rishi. They are different in every Manvantar. Following are the Sapt Rishi in the present Manvantar:
(1) Maharshi Kashyap  (2) Maharshi Atri  (3) Maharshi Vashishth  (4) Maharshi Vishwaamitra  (5) Maharshi Gautam  (6) Maharshi Bharadwaaj (7) Maharshi Jamdagni.

These seven Rishi are represented in the sky as Great Bear pointing to Polar star (Dhruv Taara)

Seven Swar (Notes) in Music
(1) Shadaj, (Sa)  (2) Rishabh, (Ray)  (3) Gandhaar, (Ga)  (4) Madhyam, (Ma)  (5) Pancham, (Pa)  (6) Dhaivat, (Dha)  (7) Nishaad, (Nee).

Nine Idols
The nine idols which Vaishnav people worship are of: (among which the first four are the different forms of Shree Krishn only) : (1) Vaasudev, (2) Sankarshan, (3) Pradyumn, (4) Aniruddh, (5) Naaraayan, 
(6) Hayagreev, (7) Varaah, (8) Nrasinh, and (9) Brahmaa.

Nine Qualities
(1) Sham - Calmness. Hindu scriptures put a great stress on Sham which brings the internal peace. It brings the reward of happiness and gives the person the ability to face difficulties and unpleasant events in life to conquer and to think of the meaning of the life.

(3) Tap - Penance
(4) Shauch - Cleanliness, Purification
(5) Kshamaa - Forgiveness
(6) Saraltaa - Simplicity
(7) Gyaan - Knowledge
(8) Vigyaan - Elemental knowledge (see "Five Elements" up)
(9) Aastikataa - Belief in Bhagvaan (God).

Nine Ras
There are several meanings of Ras:-
(1) To feel
(2) Juice, essence, sap, taste
(3) Sentiments in poetry. There are nine Ras in Hindi poetry literature - nine types of feelings (some say they are eleven). They are like this:-
(i) Shringaar Ras - sexual love, of two types: Sanyog and Viyog, meaning meeting and separation
(ii) Veer Ras - heroic (normally found in war poetry or songs)
(iii) Veebhats Ras - disgust
(iv) Raudra Ras - anger
(v) Haasya Ras - comic and humor
(vi) Bhayaanak Ras - fright
(vii) Karun Ras - pity
(viii) Adbhut Ras - wonder
(ix) Shaant Ras - peace 
(x) Vaatsalya Ras - parental love
(xi) Bhakti Ras - devotional (normally found in devotional songs)
