Sarg 17 - Devtaa Produce Vaanar

Brahmaa Jee said to Devtaa - "Vishnu is taking Avataar in Mrityu Lok, so you should also go there to help Him in killing Raavan. You can go in the form of bear but the children you will produce through Apsaraa, Kinnar, Gandharv and Yaksh women,  should have their faces like Vaanar. I have produced a bear named Jaambvaan who is very mighty and brave. He appeared suddenly while I was yawning. 

So Indra produced Baali; Soorya produced Sugreev; Brihaspati produced Taarak; Kuber (Lokpaal) produced Gandhmaadan; Vishwakarmaa (the divine architect) produced Nal; Agni (God of fire) produced Neel; Ashwinee Kumaar (divine Vaidya) produced Mayand and Dwivid two beautiful monkeys in their own appearance; Varun produced Sushen; Parajanya (the God of thunder-clouds) produced Sharabh, and Wind (Vaayu) produced Hanumaan. All these Vaanar were very mighty, brave and courageous and were like their fathers in appearance and might. Some were procreated better than their fathers.

Thus Devtaa produced thousands of Vaanar. Naag species, Apsaraa, Gandharv also produced thousands of Vaanar. They were 10 million in all and they all lived in the guidance of Sugreev and Baali. Many lived in jungle. They all were born to help Raam in killing Raavan

Sarg 18 - Vishwaamitra Jee Comes to Ask for Raam - 1

After the Yagya had completed, all Devtaa went to their Lok. All Raajaa and queens also went to their palaces. All guests who came to attend that Yagya also went back to their countries. Raajaa sent off Shaantaa and Rishyashring Rishi too.

After one year of the Yagya, on Chaitra Maas Navamee (on 9th day of Chaitra month), Raam was born to Kaushalyaa. Kaikeyee gave birth to Bharat who was like Raam; and Sumitraa gave birth to Lakshman and Shatrughn. Raam was born in Punarvasu Nakshatra and five planets (Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Venus) were at their highest while Jupiter was with Moon and Moon entering Cancer. 

Bharat was born in Pushya Nakshatra and Meen (Pisces) Lagn (Ascendant) on the 10th day. Lakshman and Shatrughn were born in Shleshaa Nakshatra and Kark (Cancer) Lagn with Sun in it. Immediately the news of birth of the four princes spread like fire. Raajaa donated many things on this occasion.

Their Naamkarn Sanskaar was performed on Twelfth day, On that occasion Braahman were fed. Raam used to be busy in practicing archery, or serving His father. Lakshman was always busy in the service of Raam and Raam also didn't live without Lakshman. As Raam loved Lakshman, Bharat loved Shatrughn. When they grew up, Raajaa started thinking about their marriage.

One day King's guard came to inform him that Vishwaamitra Jee had come to see him. Dashrath Jee himself got up to welcome him and asked the purpose of his coming after the appropriate hospitality. Vishwaamitra Jee said - "Hey Raajan, I have a purpose of coming here, but that is in my mind. First you promise me that you will fulfill it." Raajaa said - "I will try my best to fulfill it. Kindly tell me what can I do for you?"

Vishwaamitra Jee said - "When we perform our Yagya, Raakshas come and throw bones and flesh in and around the fire , so our Yagya process is disturbed. We don't want to give them Shaap, that is why  we have abandoned that Aashram and I have come to you so that we can complete our Yagya process. So please, send your eldest son with me [to guard my Yagya]."

Hearing this proposal, Raajaa got unconscious. When he gained his consciousness, he said - "Hey Muni, I can go myself with you with my whole army and I can kill them all, but please don't ask me for Raam. He is very young - only 12 years old. He is not even fully skilled in archery, how can He kill Raakshas?"

Vishwaamitra Jee said - "You need not worry about anything because He is the Avataar of Omnipotent Vishnu and He has appeared only to kill Raakshas. Guru Vashishth Jee knows about it. I will protect Him in every way. He will certainly be able to kill Raakshas. I don't want Him for many days, just give Him to me only for 10 days. You may consult your able ministers, I don't mind." Vishwaamitra Jee got silent after saying this. Raajaa got very sad because Vishwaamitra Jee had asked his very dear thing.
