Sarg 109 - Raam Consoles Vibheeshan Seeing his brother Raavan dead in the battle ground, Vibheeshan said doing Vilaap - "Why are you sleeping here on the ground? You have a bed for you. The same thing happened what I said to you, but you never paid any attention to it, because you were under the control of Kaam. I tried to explain Indrajeet, Prahast etc also but they also didn't listen to me. Your courage failed. Raam won." Hearing all this Raam said - "Hey Dharm knower, Raavan has demonstrated his extraordinary bravery in the war. He fought with great courage till he lived. This was his Kshatriya Dharm. So one should not cry for such brave people. Besides who die during the progress of their life, one should not cry for them too. Hey Vibheeshan, Who was a terror even for Indra and Trilok, if such person died because of the destiny, one should not worry about him also. You know this very well that Kshatriya consider the same death admirable which is in the battlefield while fighting. Therefore Hey Lankesh, Do not weep any more and think bout your future duties." Vibheeshan said - "Who was a terror even to Indra, today he is killed by you. Who used to donate to Braahman, please his friends, killer of his enemy and a great learned Pandit of Ved, what are my duties on his death? Whatever you will say, I will do so." Raam said - "Hey Lankesh, Perform his last rites. Vibheeshan, Our purpose is served, after the death our enmity is also over, so now your brother is my brother." Sarg 110 - Raavan's Women's Vilaap After hearing about Raavan's death, women came to the battlefield along with Raakshas and seeing his body wept bitterly. They were indeed very sad. They used to look at Raavan's face and then cried. Many got unconscious, many fell on Raavan's dead body. His queens said doing Vilaap - "Hey Naath, You defeated Indra, took Pushpak Vimaan from Kuber forcefully, defeated Devtaa and Gandharv, and today you are lying on the ground killed by a man? You did not listen to your well-wishers' advice and abducted Seetaa. The same A-Dhaarmic (non-religious) Karm proved so bad for us [that we had to lose you]. You did not pay any attention even to your good brother, rather you insulted him, that is why he went dissatisfied. Whatever has happened today it is all because of your destiny. How could somebody change it? Sarg 111 - Mandodaree's Vilaap for Raavan Raavan's chief wife Mandodaree also saw her husband killed by Raam. She also got very sad. She said doing Vilaap - "When you became angry then Indra also got afraid of you. Great graceful Rishi and Devtaa also ran away because of you. You won Trilok. Nobody could dare you, then how a person living in forest killed such a brave person like you. It seems that Raam is a great Yogee or Sanaatan (eternal) Paramaatmaa. He has killed you for the good of all Lok. When Raam killed thousands of warriors in Jansthaan, I told you at that time that "Raam is not an ordinary man" but you never listened to me. In whichever Lankaa even Devtaa could not enter, Hanumaan came in the same Lankaa. At that time also I told you several times "Don't make Raam your enemy", but you didn't agree. This all is the result of the same. Seetaa is greater Satee than Arundhatee and Rohinee. You committed a great crime by insulting Her. I think Seetaa burned you by Her Shaap. You had more beautiful women than Seetaa but your mind with Her only. Raam heard all this Vilaap. He said to Vibheeshan - Perform the last rites of your brother soon." Vibheeshan said - "Bhagvaan, Raavan had left all good behavior. He was very unkind and liar. he touched other women, therefore I do not want to perform his last rites. he was my enemy in the form of my brother." Raam said - "Hey Vibheeshan, You should do this soon according to Dharm. This will bring you glory." Then Vibheeshan gathered all Raakshas and performed Raavan's last rites and returned to Raam. Raam was very happy to kill His enemy, now He was at peace .
