An American, born 1939 on the 1st of December in New York. He joined Nemesis in November 1965 after being an US air force pilot. You could say Craig is the main, most focused on (in regards to television) member of the three, but that is not to say he is the "star". All three share the time equally, depending of course on each assignment, so no one agent is the main focus in the series. Craig is an intelligent man who is more likely to move on instinct rather than spend much time comtemplating his possible course of action. In this respect he is different than Richard and Sharron.
Craig is also one who has the plans, these are also usually thought out on spare-of-the-moment times, but he is very successful. The strange aspect of the two male leads, Craig and Richard, is that neither of them are what you may call "ladies men", strange because almost always in this genre of TV or film, it is a prerequisite that the lead male has to be suave and sophisticated. Craig is perhaps the man who would be closer to that desciption, but he certainly isn't a stereotyped 1960s secret agent. He never uses his looks, or uses women, to get information, a definite plus in the series which makes it unique in it's genre. As said above, he is intelligent, but so are the others, and he uses his vast knowledge to save himself and the others many times during the series. Physically, he is the strongest of the trio, and he uses his strength many times to fight his way out of trouble, most of the time accompanied by Richard, but Sharron also can beat up the baddies (with some accurate karate chops!).

She's one of the best female lead characters from any TV show of the 1960s, perhaps even up until today. She is a very capable, intelligent, and resourceful and saves the day quite a few times. Sharron is most definitely not a junior, or inferior, member of the team. She is an equal member of the group and a top Nemesis agent. In fact there is no doubt that Craig and Richard are benefited greatly because of her abilities, which are complimented by her being female which opens many more doors than the guys could ever hope. Her resourcefulness and importance to the success of the missions is nowhere more evident than in "Twelve Hours" where she uses her skills as a fully qualified doctor to operate on a dying man.
She joined Richard and Craig in "The Beginning" to help them acquire certain biological/ chemical warfare materials; proving straight from the start that she was much more than a pretty face. She is also very strong willed, as the audience sees many times, she can withstand any punishment, physical and mental. In many respects Sharron has a higher level of street smarts than Craig or Richard. Many times she outwits people by quickly assessing a situation almost immediately. She is certainly not naive.

Another Brit, like Sharron, Richard is the most animated of the three. We find out in "Autokill" that he was born in 1938 in Salisbury, Wiltshire. He has the intelligence and skills which we expect from a Champion but he is also quite sly, a devious cleverness which is much more subtle than the other two. Often, Richard is the one who will face death with a smile and a witty remark.
Although Richard is the most lighthearted and funny of the three, he is extremely tough and can be very hard to his enemies. He does not hesitate in using force or decieving his foes, lulling them into a false sense of security while quietly working out his plans in his mind, ready to strike when the time is right. That time is usually when his companions join him, combining as a team to close a case. The highlights of many episodes are the deadpan one-liners that he delievers either as a off-the-cuff remark to a friend or said purposely to annoy an enemy. He's a smart dresser and is usually seen in brown suits with a thin tie. He is like, say a Roger Moore type, who you believe with out a doubt that his clothes are the best available and he eats from the finest restaurants. But he's not a snob, though he certainly has though qualities, he is someone who understands everyone, but chooses the more refined, proper British style of life and manner.
