Many of these performers are accomplished Jazz Musicians and have used Midi as a resource to promote their original compositions and the works of other Jazz Artist..What follows are brief biographies of the Midi Performers as well as some of the greatest Jazz Composers and Artist...

Benjamin Lewis- Jazz Pianist
Ben resides in Chicago, IL and studied at Indiana University. Rene Amesse- Drummer/Percussionist
Also a member of the Midi Jazz Network... Rene, age 47, resides at Montreal, Canada..Attended McGill University in Montreal and is currently active as a drummer/ percussionist, pianist, bassist and soprano saxaphonist..He has performed on many Midi file tracts and does custom arrangements on Jazz, Latin and Funk..An original composition found here is Swingling... Jonathan L. Hunkins- Band Director/Percussionist
Jon, currently lives in Ogdensburg, NY... He is a High School Instrumental Director and is employed by St. Lawerence-Lewis BOCES and works in the Morristown and Hammond Central School Districts....Being a musical director, its no surprise Jon has the ability to compose and arrange in both the Cakewalk and Midi Format..Most of Jon's original compositions: Aquate Emotions; DrumFunk; Dreamy Nights; Slapp'in; andThe Chase, can be found here and on The Jonathan Hunkins Midi Page... Antone S. Walloch- Jazz Pianist Antone spent a few years in his youth in Seattle--playing jazz piano in various clubs & with local bands. This came to a rude halt when he was inducted into the Army in 1942. He performed with an army band for a time and wrote several big band jazz charts. After his release from the army, his musical career went astray... He went to medical school and became a psychiatrist; retiring from practice in 1985. Antone has since made sequencing jazz tunes one of his main hobbies. The very popular "Late for Work", is by far one of the finest Jazz midi's available...Three other originals, "Vagas Weekend"; "Short Sheeted" and "Bobsled" are also excellent examples of Antone's talents...

Arnold Worsley- Jazz Guitarist Arnold is a 1976 graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. with a diploma in arranging/composition. A guitarist with over 30 years of performing experience professionally and semi-professionally in most all popular styles of music. Arnold currently uses Finale for Windows to compose using a mouse to enter the notes instead of an instrument and then post it in the form of a MIDI file....Some of his original compositions include: Blocks; Waking; Swingit and Energy..Still others can be found on these pages.. Devian Zikri- Jazz Saxophone
Devian lives in Jakarta, Indonesia. He has never formally studied music, but has acquired his talent getting many tips from great jazz musician in Indonesia. He has played Jazz since the age of 14 starting as a guitar player, then later at the age of 20 he began to study saxophone with his close friend who was an acomplished saxophonist in Indonesia and has since played in the North Sea Jazz Festival. Devian has played in several jazz clubs in Indonesia and is currently attending Berkley College of Music to formally continue his studies... Devian makes and arranges songs in midi format using Cakewalk Professional. All the notes and controllers are made with the click of a mouse. He never uses a keyboard... Currently, he is working together with his friend, Iman tjahjono. who supplies the solos for some of his compositions. Eric Elliott- Jazz Trombone/Piano
Eric Elliott was born on Dec 5th, 1961 in Ft Lauderdale, Florida...Attended Nova Highschool, Miami Dade county Community College as well as the Florida Atlantic University...It wasn't until the age of nine that he discovered Jazz and that it would be his life and career...Greatly influenced by his father, David Elliott, an accomplished pianist for over 25 years performing as a solo pianist in the area Cocktail Clubs, Eric would change his interest from piano to trombone...
At age 16, Eric would play his first profressional gig at the Baltimore Actors Theater...From that point on, Eric would tour with many well known entertainers...His midi compositions and arrangements reflect a multitude of styles and era's...Classics from Trane, Handcock, Kenton, Weather Report, Mangione and others are just of few...Styles from Be-Bop, Avant-Guard, Big Band, Funk as well as Jazz Rock, TV and Movie Themes are all represented in his collection...His original compostions are superb and must be listened to...Some of Eric's tunes and arrangements can be found here on the "Recent Additions Page"....But be sure to visit Eric at Eric's Midishop for a more detailed summary of his life and where you can listen to all of his work...Eric can be reached by E-Mail at jazz4611@mediaone.net...Tell him Al sent you!!
Andrew Meehan- Jazz Saxophonist/Pianist
Andrew lives in New Orleans. He is currently a student at Jesuit High School where he plays in the school's concert and jazz bands. At age 15, he is currently playing saxophone and composing music for a local jazz brass band. He started taking piano lessons around age 8 and saxophone at age 10. His influences include the standard jazz greats such as John Coletrane and the modern jazz greats such Medeski Martin and Wood. His original compositions include Groove Vibes and Karma. Gary Fyre- Trumpet
Gary is a former trumpet player composing mostly Jazz Midi as a hobby..Although he did a few Jazz band arrangements in college, most of his career was spent away from music...He discovered MIDI in late 1998 and has been learning and having fun ever since..His favorite big bands are Ferguson, Kenton and Rob McConnell...He believes his orginal compositions are a little unique in that he tries to borrow ideas from lots of Jazz styles..A more detailed Bio. can be found on Gary's home page- "Gary's Lighthouse Midi's" @ http://www.oocities.org/BourbonStreet/Quarter/8950/
