POW POW

It's Time To Bring Them Home!

This is the site that started it all for me.
Gunny has a site that must be seen.
Thank You Gunny!

A note about what this page means to me:

"I am the proud daughter of a retired Marine who served his country in Vietnam. I have always had a great love for my country, and the men and women who serve it. I studied the Vietnam War in college, hoping to understand my dad a little better. This search for understanding led me to Gunny and Doc, 2 men I would be proud to call my friend. So for all the "Gunny's", "Doc's", and "Dad's" (and "Mom's") out there, this page is dedicated to you....for all that you have done, and all that you continue to do. I Thank You!

I gave a speech last night (5/22/97) on the POW/MIA issue.
I had letters all ready to be signed, all my audience had to do was sign them and return them to me for mailing. One response I got after my speech sadly shows the apathy SOME American people have towards our POW/MIA's.
Only one woman out of the 15 in the audience had not signed the letter. I asked her if she would, so I could get them mailed.
Her response: "I have given up on anything ever coming from this. I grew up with the Vietnam War, signed petitions, wore POW bracelets, and never saw it make a difference. Why should now be any different?" I was shocked, angry, and hurt.
My response? I informed this person that I was going to continue to do everything in my power to make sure I was heard! Nothing worth fighting for ever comes easy. And that WHEN our "forgotten heros" come home, I, unlike HER, would be able to hold my head high, look them in the eyes, and know in my heart that I had NEVER given up hope!
I do believe I can make a difference! I know we can get the answers we need, IF we ask the right questions! What can YOU do....NOTHING....UNLESS you get involved!
I CHALLENGE each and every visitor to this page to take that first step, write a letter, DEMAND an answer! Walking on or buried beneath American soil.....Our men deserve no less!

I have even made it easy for you....This page already has a letter written for you. Just copy the letter and paste it into an e-mail to any and all Officials that you want an ACCOUNTING from. Hell, I will even lick the stamp! E-mail addresses are provided on the page also. What could be easier?

In my haste to get this page assembled I have lost track of where I obtained many of my images. If you know the creator of any images displayed on this page please let me know so I can give them the credit they deserve.
