There won't
be a lot of people yet, who know that The Suitcases are
but two guys ... AND THEY ARE TWINS !!![]() Harry Paredaens is whithout a doubt the most moving member in the band. Being a graduate classical guitarplayer, he switched onto the bass to become part of Cold Shot. In the role of bassman, he's able to determine the speed ond the groove of a Cold Shot-song. He likes to improvise to Jay'Em's Bass-riffs in order to make them more like his. At rare moments he likes to exchange the bass for his new love, the harp. These times, he gives the songs such a groove, it makes you have goosebumps. When the music they make sounds like Harry wants it to sound, he starts bouncing and enjoying the music Cold Shot plays. It's a funny sight, but the people in the crowd like it. Now he announced he wants to study the upright bass. We all are wondering how he is gonna manage this together with his harp... ![]() The other Suitcase Jay'Em carries around Belgium is Tim Paredaens. Tim actually studied how to hit the drums. Nevertheless, improvisation is the one action he really loves. On a gig, this glassed rhythm-maker stays cool, only moving and shaking to the few songs where he is able to determine the beat. Hís beat. Tim still is searching for the ultimate drum-experience, and that is why he keeps on buying new gear. He introduced the cow bell and his woodblock in their songs and lives to invent new and even more difficult rhythms. Sometimes his fellow band members even loose the beat. Anyway, he is one of the two Suitcases, who want to change the Belgian Bluesscène. |
