Miss Emily's Restraint
Emily was happy on this day, and she welcomed the song of birds.
Watching the fluffy clouds of morning drift by at their leisurely pace, and what is finer?
Lying on a quilt spread over grass, where do you find more comfort?
She stretched her flesh longingly into the bright morning.
She might get some grass in her hair.
What would that matter, a little grass in the hair?
There was no better place to be.
A bit of sun on the face, but for a little while that wouldn't
worry her.
Her friend pulled on her hand and she got a little thrill.
Whatever happened, that would all be up to her friend.
Emily was quietly confident in her friend.
She knew something would happen now.
But what it was wouldn't be up to her any more.
Nothing was up to her now.
She could just let her friend take care of everything.
To Emily, it felt so lazy and luxurious just to lie here on this
quilt
while her friend was busy throwing shadows everywhere.
Emily strained her arms tight, watching the muscles hump up under
the smooth skin.
The ropes on her wrists held firm, her stakes were driven deep.
Emily felt very secure.
She watched her friend walk up, ready for her at last.
There was no better place to be.
Emily felt happy.
