Encounters from 2000

December 24, 2001
Ok, Bryan Chan was JUST at my house on Christmas Eve. His mom and my mom are friends so, since he was in town he said he would come over. He was over for an hour, and he ate, and we talked. and he keeps really GOOD eye contact, and we got pictures. AND HE HUGGED MEEEEEE! And he autographed a single for us. We discussed OTown, Plus ONE, and LMNT. We have a fork with his food on it LOL. We talked a lot about random life things, hes such a sweet guy. This was the BEST Christmas EVER, and for Christmas he gave me a bunch of autographed LMNT stuff. He said, when he comes back for the school tour he will introduce me to the WHOLE band.

Love,
Chantelle, Nikki, and Renee!

Question for everyone... if you had a choice of seeing Cameron Mathison (Ryan - All My Children) or Bryan, Ikaika, Jonas, and Mike (LMNT), whom would you choose?

Macy's had their grand re-opening at the Willow Grove Park Mall today. Cameron appeared at 2pm today in the Men's Department while the guys appeared around 3:45ish in the Junior's Department. For the record, I chose not to go looking for Cameron because of the great conversations that were being held down in the Juniors department with various people, some fans, some not fans simply because they didn't know who the guys were or because they were there for the fashion show.

Yes, there was a fashion show before hand and it was so-so... the one girl really should have had the next size up for her pants... yuck... but all in all, the fashions were cool.

LMNT RULZ!!! Can I just say that right now??? The radio station, ALICE104.5 was there and the female DJ (forgive me, her name has slipped my brain) introduced the guys. They came out to screams and tears and hysteria... it was awesome! Bryan, Ikaika, and Mike recognized some of us right away and Jonas looked comfortable up there amidst his fellow groupmates. Some say Jonas looks like Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC... I say he doesn't and that the photo on the official site and in the autographed photo I'm staring at right now do not do him justice whatsoever. You've really got to go see the guys in person when they come near you or within driving distance because they are just down to earth and personable and warm and kind and I can't say enough about them.

We had an opportunity to welcome Jonas to the group (because I shouted Welcome to the Group JONAS), Bryan then coached him to do the "Zoolander" walk... it was hysterical. What a ham! The guys sang "Good in Goodbye", "Shine", "Higher", "Juliet", and a holidayish song that is on the single (released TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13th - shameless plug). And their moves ROCK! They interacted with us fans, shook hands, grabbed hands, shouted WE LOVE YOUs back and made eye contact with us constantly... yes, all of them.

Afterwards, they signed autographs and I stole a few moments to talk to each of them as I was walking through the line. Bryan thanked us for coming out and said it was nice to see me again and I said that JULIET was a great song. Bryan then said they just got the single on CD two days ago and was so excited, but Jonas wasn't home when they got the single... where was he? I asked him and he said he was with his vocal coach. He smiled and looked at me and laughed with me.

Ikaika remembered me too and told me so and I got jumbled because I just melt when I look into his eyes... I explained that the pictures I took of him from August during the autograph signing didn't come out and Mike joked and said that Ikaika isn't very photogenic and then I got pushed out by security... the meanies.

I can't stress how much we all need to promote the single and the guys... I pitched and promoted to all who wandered over to the Junior Department as well as through the mall and will continue to pitch and promote these guys any way I can.

I met a lot of new faces today... PAM... girl... I hope my piccys of you with Ikaika come out!!! Lucky girl! ROFL... Nicole, Melissa, and friend... You're all some really sweet peeps... Thanks for being so kind and friendly. Bridget... girl... you're funny, very outgoing, friendly, and a really great gal! I would love to hang with all of you again!

I hope to see everyone around soon at another appearance by the guys... so call your radio stations and get JULIET on the radio... go out and buy several copies of the single and give them out as gifts... hey... the holidays are coming up... they'd make great stocking stuffers!!!

Thanks for taking the time to read this email from me... My hands are a little shaky still and my back is killing me from standing for six hours, oh and my voice is all gone, but it's all worth it just to see Bryan, Ikaika, Jonas, and Mike... our LMNT men... Pictures should be up next weekend... come back and see us again!

Take care, stay safe, know that you are loved, and God Bless us all!

Silver City Galleria – Taunton, MA

This was an extremely exciting day for us – my daughter, Kara, and I were going to see and hear LMNT for the first time. Donned in our oversized LMNT t-shirts and feeling like two beached whales, we left Wallingford, CT around noon. Kara can’t read maps very well and, because I didn’t want to end up in New Hampshire, we decided she would drive and I would navigate. With a map in hand, it looked fairly easy to me – go north, cut through Rhode Island and take a right in Providence. We arrived at the mall around 2:45 PM, feeling very pleased with ourselves.

First on the agenda was to locate Center Court and then have lunch, which we somehow forgot about. The area allocated to Teen People was quite large and we were very impressed. Trotting down to Ruby Tuesdays, whom do we see coming toward us? I noticed Mike first, because of his height and the fact he was a few feet away from the group. I just walked up to Mike and gave him a hug. The first thing he said when he saw both of us was “shirts.” Then he asked if we had seen Bryan, which we didn’t. Kara hugged Mike, while I turned and saw Ikaika and Malia. I extended my hand to Malia and told her how nice it was to see her there. Then I turned to Ikaika, he gave me a hug, and I told him he needed to put on some weight. (Now, wasn’t that a dumb thing to say?) He politely smiled. I told him we were Patty and Kara Johnson from Connecticut. Kara immediately said, “She won’t forgive me if I don’t take a picture of you two.” So, as we prepared for a picture, Malia stepped aside. I then asked her to join in on the picture. Then their manager said they had to get going.

Seated in the restaurant, we were on Cloud 9. Kara said, “Mike is so hot. I want to take him home.” We regretted not having taken pictures with him, but the encounter was quite brief and off they went. After lunch, we walked back toward Center Court and who do we see poking around a vendor’s mobile cart – Mike. I went right up to him and asked if my daughter could take a picture of us. He said, “That’s your daughter?” I told him that on Bryan’s site, I am sometimes known as “Magazine Mama.” He said, “I get it. You find articles and pictures of us.” (I also told him that Kara wanted to take him home.) Kara snapped our picture and then said it was her turn. I decided to get a portrait picture of them, turning the camera upright. I had to step back a bit, as getting head to toe of Mike wasn’t easy. All set to snap the picture, I accidentally hit the zoom button, which brought them closer to me and chopped off their legs. Frustrated, I told them I messed up, and Kara said, “That’s okay – I can hold this pose as long as it takes.” I snapped the picture – minus their legs. We thanked him and went on our way.

Kara had a list of things to buy and look for, so we went off shopping. We later stopped at a restaurant for a drink, hoping to see Bryan passing by. (I have since learned that while we were on the first floor, Bryan searching, he was in the Food Court with the other guys – including Jonas. We went back to Center Court around 5:00 PM, stayed in the background for a while and then made our move to the stage. The best we could manage was third row – to the right of the stage. We watched all the entertainment, fashion show and – finally, LMNT. OMG – the guys were outstanding.

We were in the beginning of the Meet & Greet and were provided with pictures (the one on their Official Site) for the guys to sign. We were told there would be no “picture taking” allowed at the Meet & Greet. I was very impressed when I went up to Ikaika (he was first) when he looked up and said, “Your name is Pat, right?” Just couldn’t believe he remembered my name. I moved to Mike and he said, “Hey, Magazine Mama.” I told him I was one of Grace’s group and he said “I should have known.” He signed my picture and I moved to Bryan. By then, Kara and I were together and he spoke to both of us. He asked where we were from. When we said Connecticut, he said we probably traveled the furthest to be there. Then he asked how long it took us to get there. I told him I was one of Connecticut’s Street Team Reps and he immediately stood up, gave me a hug and kiss – then turned to Kara and gave her a hug and kiss. Kara then told him she liked his hair his natural color and Bryan said his mother agrees.

Of course, we thanked each of them for their autographs as we moved along and…..most certainly, told each of them how much we enjoyed their performance.

What more can I say? It was a great and exciting day to finally see these guys in person.

When Teen People & LMNT announced their mall tour dates, I was so psyched to see that they were coming to Taunton, MA, my hometown, on September 6th. I made plans to attend the event with my sister and mom. Thought it started at 3:30, I made sure I was there in time for the LMNT perfomance at 6:40.

I got to the Silver City Galleria at 6:00. A fashion show was getting over with. There was no one around the stage, so I decided to mosey my way up to the front. I wanted a good view of the guys. Anywho, the fashion show ended, and the guys from our local radio station, Kiss 108, entertained us. I won a shirt for identifying who was on the cover of Teen People. Before we knew it, LMNT was on stage. Lemme just say, my knees were weak. I started to scream. I was so in awe! The guys starting singing, and all I could do was smile. I was screaming and smiling all nite. Bryan noticed and smiled and waved at me. I thought I was going to pass out! On the second to last song, they wanted us to sing. So the guys told us what to sing, and I dunno what I was singing, but I sang it when they didnt need me to! Bryan laughed and said "There, that's the way to do it!" I almost died, yet again! Then, after the concert, was the meet and greet. Again, I got to the front of the line. In front of me, as a matter of fact, was Malia, Ikakia's girlfriend. :) I wanted to talk to her, but she looked wicked scared for some reason. Anywho, I got up to the meet and greet table, and Ikakia was the first to sign my card. He asked me my name, I told him, and Mike, who was sitting next to him, said, "Man, Theresa was making me blush because she was always smiling." I was like, "Yes, I knew this would come in handy!" I gave Mike a letter I wrote. I chatted with Mike for a while, cause Bryan was chatting with Malia. When she finally left, I swear, my heart stopped. Bryan looked at my name and said "Man Theresa, you looked so happy to be here!" Mike, who was totally ignoring my sister who was behind me, was like, "I know man, I could NOT stop blushing." Bryan took a year and a half to write on my card. When he was done, he gave me a hug. I told him I really appricate them coming to Taunton, and I look forward to hearing their music!

All in all, that was prolly the best nite of my life. :) I so can't wait til their CD comes out!!!!!!!!!!

This happened last summer. All of you better go to Hawaii. Ikaika's Dad is the MC at the Kodak Hula Show on Honolulu. Well he announced about his son and how he had a new group to everyone in the crowd in Summer of 2000 [August]. Afterwards I went up and asked lots of questions. Now I didn't actually meet Ikaika but ... the next day we listened in on the radio show when Ikaika's father was talking to him. He actually mentioned me and how I had come from San Jose and was a big fan of his.

E-mailed to us on September 30th. This is from 9/06

Hi. I just wanted to tell you about the best night of my life: September 6th, 2001. It's when I got to meet my idol, Ikaika Kahoano, and the rest of his band.

Alrighty, Ikaika and I are penpals on-line, we've been talking since like last December, so we've been talking for almost a year now.

So I finally found out he'd be coming to Massachusetts, my big chance to meet him!

So I e-mailed him and told him I would be there with a sign that said, "E-mail my heart" (like the Britney Spears song?) and he wrote back and said that was fine.

So as you all know, it was a big fashion show/concert thing... and the whole thing started at 3:30, but we didn't know what time LMNT came on, so we just knew we had to show up then.

My school ends at 2:06 (precise, isn't it?!) and it takes like an hour and a half to get to the mall where we were. IT WAS WORTH IT! But we got there at like 3:20ish, so we found parking and went inside the mall.

We found the stage area and immediately, I saw MIKE! he was standing with a guy, who I now know as Jonas (their new member, since Matt quit). I rushed over to him and asked, "Can I take a picture?!" and he said, "Sure," and then introduced me to Jonas.

He looked at my sign, and to this day I still wonder why he was laughing, but anyway, he saw my sign and laughed. I don't know if it's because I had a sign that said Ikaika's name on it, or because maybe Ikaika told the guys to look for me. I don't know, but he saw my sign and laughed. My mom asks, "Is Ikaika here anywhere?" and Mike told us that he was walking around the mall with Malia and he was wearing a yellow shirt, so we would find him easily.

So my mom and I set out to find him. As we were approaching GMC (the vitamin store), I saw a man wearing a yellow shirt, holding a woman's hand. I caught a glimpse of his face and I knew it was him! I screamed really loud and he turned around and sort of rolled his eyes, the fans probably got on his nerves. After a few deep breaths ("Allie, you don't want your first meeting with him to be with you crying and hyperventilating"), I wiped my eyes and then we followed them into GMC. He heard my footsteps and turned around, and then he saw my sign, and a HUGE grin broke out on his face and he was like, "Hey, What's up?!" (because see, at one point, neither of us believed the other person was real - I thought that he was just some poser and he thought that I was someone working for the tabloids) and then he took a picture with me. He was so sweet and he kept asking "Oh, did you have to miss school for this?" and I kept saying, "No, I only had to miss cheerleading practice," but I had already told him that I would have to.

When we left the store I realized I never got his autograph, so we turned around and I went back in the store and I said, "I hate to bother you again but can I have your autograph?" and he said, "sure," and he was super nice about it. While he was signing (HE WRITES SO SLOW!), I talked to Malia. I asked, "Are you still dancing?" and she looked sort of uncomfortable [sort of like "Why does she know I'm a dancer?!' (Ikaika said it on MTB)] but she said, "um...ya!" and then my mom had a little conversation with Ikaika and then we left.

So we set out to explore the mall some more. We stopped in the food court and I saw these 2 girls and they saw my sign and ran up to me and said, "Bryan is over there at that table," so we staked ourselves next to a trashcan and watched him because he was on his cell phone and we didn't want to interrupt him. In the middle of his conversation, I said really loudly, "Let's all go sit down," so we sat at the table next to his and waited. Then a few other girls had the same idea. So we were like surrounding him in the food court. When he got off his phone, we all ran up to him at once and asked for pics and autographs and he said, "sure" so while he was signing someone else's autograph he had his back turned, I stole one of his napkins off his table! LOL!

So then all of a sudden Mike and Jonas run up to us and say, "Oh my God! It's Tom Cruise! Can we have your autograph?! Oh wait...It's only Bryan...nevermind." Then, they pretend to walk away. So, of course, all the girls had to get pics and autographs from Mike and Jonas. They were so nice about it, too.

I was wearing my red Abercrombie shirt that said, 'love the game,' on it so Mike asks, "What game do you love?" I never answered, but I told Ikaika later to tell Mike that I said, "football" (because I'm a cheerleader. How lame am I?!?!).

So then after our little meeting in the food court, it was about 4:30 and we had found out the LMNT performance started at 6:40. So we made our way down to the stage and got FRONT ROW seats! No one was there yet! We just stood there the whole time, and it paid off (more about that later!). So all the KISS108 people were doing contests (I won 2 of them!).

Then it was time for LMNT! I started an LMNT chant and everyone joined in and then a few minutes later LMNT came on!

We had 2.5 rolls of film left so my mom took lots of pics. But the best was yet to come. Ikaika stuck his hand out into the audience to like touch people's hands, and he touched everyone except mine, so I kept my hand out, and he put his hand out again and sort of grabbed my hand, as opposed to just touching it.

So then during "Higher" Bryan put his mic in front of some girl's face and made her sing, so Ikaika did the same for me!

(This is the best) When they pulled 3 girls up on stage, I was waving my sign and screaming like crazy, so Bryan picked me! I was a little disappointed, because Ikaika is my favorite, and he knows that, but I didn't know what was coming! So, I went up on stage and Bryan made me say my name in front of everyone, and then Mike and Ikaika picked. So then Bryan sang to me for like 30 seconds but as I was looking at my mom, I noticed her motioning for me to turn around. When I did, there was Ikaika! Him and Bryan had switched!! (Can someone e-mail me and tell me if the 2 outside people do this at all the concerts, or did they just do it at this one? I am trying to figure out if he did that for me or if he had to...) so then Ikaika was just singing to me, he put his hand out and I put my hand in his and we looked into each other's eyes and he just sang to me. (I don't remember any of the lyrics, but my mom swears one of them was: "I'm so glad we're together now" or something along those lines) and then at the end of the song, he hugged me and whispered in my ear, "Thank you Allie," as if I HAD DONE THE FAVOR TO HIM!

So then we enjoyed the rest of the concert, and he kept winking and smiling in my direction and looking at me. God, I love him! He was like going out of his way to make me happy!

When they threw that fake money to the audience, I caught one that Ikaika threw!

So then after the AWESOME concert ended they had the Meet 'n Greet, and I got in the beginning of the line. When I got to the table, Ikaika signed it first and said "Allie B - thanks for being so awesome" or something like that. The guys all wrote sweet messages (Bryan wrote: "Thanks for sitting with me"!) and then we were just talking to them (holding up the line!) and Bryan told us about their upcoming single, Juliette, coming out October 15th. Mike was saying how awesome a fan I was, and I said, "I told my mom I wanted to drop out of school and just follow you guys around on tour, but she said, 'no' " and they laughed, and Mike said, "Well, we're glad you could come to this one."

After I got my autograph, I saw JACKIE SALVUCCI waiting by the stage, just chillin! I went up to him and I said, "I don't know if you remember me, but we met at the O-Town concert on March 12," and He asks, "at avalon?" and I said "yes," and he said that he remembered. So then I asked for an autograph and he gave me one, but he was so cute when he did it. He made this obvious move where he shifted his body so that I couldn't see what he was writing and I couldn't peak over his shoulder, it was awesome! So then I asked for a picture, and he said, "sure." So he bent down and put his face next to mine and took a pic!

I can't wait for them to come back to Boston...it was so awesome! It was the best night of my life! Wow!

Sorry that this encounter is so long, by the way!!!!!

I've included my picture of Ikaika and I together, and him and I on stage, please don't take them without my permission. (Please see Bryan & Fans Photo Albm)

Thanx!

Peace and smiles!

E-mailed to us on September 15th. This is from 8/24 - 8/25: Atlanta, GA

My aunt called one day and said that the group that Ikaika was in was going to come to Georgia and perform. Well, Mom had to work those 2 days, but she got 'em off so we could go see LMNT perform. On the 24th, I was a car rider from school. So we go to the mall and when we got there, there was this whole Teen People thing set up. I made a sign that said "I 3> Mike!" and one the back it said "LMNT bring me up!" the day before. So we get down there and walk around and look at all the stuff. Then some lady asked me if i wanted to do this Encarta Challenge thing, so I signed up for it. Then I looked around some more. So then they called me and some other girl up for the Challenge. He asked me these really hard questions. The winner got to hang w/ LMNT after the show. Well I lost, but the girl that won let me go with her! I was soooo happy! So then some lady asked me if I wanted a wrist band to have front row, so I said, "Sure why not." so she gave me a purple wrist band. Then my sis got one. Then PJ The DJ came out *she's a dj at a radio station in Atlanta* and gave out some free stuff for us. Then she announced LMNT and me and my sis were less than 2 inches from the stage. Mike saw my sign and smiled at it! AAAAHHHH!!!!! Then they sang a few songs. At some point during the show, Mike brought up my sign and showed it to everyone and says "She loves me!" and then read the back of it and said "We'll bring you up later, I promise." Well guess what...they never did! So after the show, I went to the meet and greet. We got to hang out w/ 'em for a few minutes. Maybe 10 minutes?! They are soooo nice! I got hugs from all the guys. Then after that they signed autographs for everyone. Me and Mom got Mike and Ikaika's sweat towels!

8/25 THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!

This day is one day that I will never forget! I got checked out after 5th period. We *me,mom,my sis, and mom's sis* went to the mall. We got there and they were doing sound check. I heard someone talking and I was like "That sounds like Mike!" and I looked near the stage and it was him! He was like "Hey, I remember you!" and I ran up to him and hugged him! They were just singin' and talkin' to us. Mike asked me if I had a sign and i said "Yeah." and Ikaika read it. It said, "You guys rocked yesterday, so we came back for more LMNT!" and he was like "whats on the other side?" and they read it. It said "Since ya'll didn't bring me up yesterday, PLEASE bring me up today!" and Mike promised that he'd bring me up! Ikaika did this ADORABLE Kermit THE Frog impression. He was like "Can anyone do any impressions?!" and he said "I can do Kermit." and he did it. It was sooo funny! Sso after a while, they had to go back and change for the show. Me and my sister were waiting and some guy asked if we were gonna wait an hour and I was like "OF COURSE!". So then some lady announced 'em. They were so good!!!!! And then they brought me up. Mike said "she was at the show yesterday and we're gonna bring her up! this song is for the ladies, and especially for you." and they sang it to me! It was some slow song, but I dont remember the name of it. Mike put his arm around me and I was in tears through out most of the song after that. But if I wasn't crying, I was all smiles! After the song, I hugged the guys and mike and ikaika told me to give bryan some sugar, so I kissed him on the cheek, and he kissed me back. Bryan has coffee breath *hehehe*. after that, they sang a few more songs and then had a meet and greet. When I got up to them, i said "thank you guys so much for bringing me up on stage" and mike said "no problem." then we got pix taken w/ 'em! i gave 'em a letter and i asked mike if he read it and he said "yeah. it was really sweet" and i said "thanks!".

I gotta say, that was the best 2 days of my life. Bryan, if you read this, I love you guys so much! I'm LMNT's number 1 fan!

E-mailed to us on August 24th. West Palm Beach, Florida , August 17th

Hi! After seeing LMNT in San Diego and Northridge, California, my family and I decided to take a vacation to see LMNT in Florida. When August 17th came, I was getting excited. We started our 3 hour drive from our Orlando hotel to go to the West Palm Beach event. When we stopped at a rest stop, guess who pulled up next!? It was LMNT!!!! My mom said "There's Bryan!". So I leapt out of the rental van and chatted with him. He excused himself after to go to the bathroom. Then came walking Mike and Ikaika. They said, "hi", gave hugs, and we chatted too. We told them we'll see them at Macy's in a few hours.

So we got to Macy's. Boy was it hot!! The poor guys had to perform on an outside stage. We got there with LMNT at just about the same time. We saw them rehearse and stuff. Bryan even said on his microphone, "We'd like to thank two of our superfans, Yvonne and Shelley, for flying all the way out from California just to see us". That made my day! Bryan rocks my world. (smile) Well the concert was excellent as always. My side during "Higher" never wins (those that have seen LMNT will know what I mean). The guys danced and sang beautifully. Mike sang to me and Ikaika held my hand. Luckily, there was a meet and greet after the show in an air-conditioned Macy's. Thank you Lord!! :-) Anyways, Bryan was so sweet. He said I should start carrying his gear and setting up for the band because I am always with them. Hey, what can I say, I love these guys like the rest of you fans. Ok... Mike gave me a hug, as well as Ikaika, and we said we'll see them tomorrow in Orlando.

August 18th, West Oaks Mall, Orlando, Florida. The last day I'll see these guys for a while. I kinda hate mall scenes because they are never well organized. The stage was ok but the area set up for Teen People fit about 50 people in it. The crowds were horrible, but luckily I won a purple wristband to stand in the front row. It was nothing special really. After meeting these guys in San Diego and Northridge, I felt like a sister. They waved and smiled as usual. It's good being close because you can truly hear how talented Ikaika is. His voice is normally soft, but up close, he has excellent vocal talent. They all have talent so I'll shut up on that one. The concert was good and that's all I have to say about that day.

Anyways, to end this novel, LMNT was wonderful. I'm glad these guys are together and I can't wait for their CD to come out. Bryan, if you read this, please e-mail me!! (DLPNLVR@AOL.COM). These guys are going to make it big time. Looking forward to meeting the rest of the LMNT fans on their national tour!!!

Take care,
Shelley (& Yvonne)

E-mailed to us on August 13. LMNT at the King Of Prussia Mall , April 13, 2001

Hey, I met LMNT back on April 13, 2001 at the King Of Prussia Mall in Philly, PA. My friend, Amanda, and I were on a Spanish field trip and after we went to the Balsh Institute we went to the King of Prussia Mall. We were walking around and some lady walked up to us and asked us if we would like to fill out a form for something. We said, "sure." Then she said that LMNT was going to be there performing.

I'm like, "who?"
She's like, "LMNT".
I'm like, "who are they?"

Then it dawned on me. I'm like, "OMG Ikaika, Bryan, and Mike from MTB?"

Then I asked her if she knew when they would perform. She said around 7.

Well, we had to leave to be on the bus at 6:30. So I'm like, "Oh well."

So, we decided to do a little more shopping. Then I heard someone performing. I go, "Come on let's walk down there and see if we can find out anything."

So, we did and they said that they were in the mall somewhere. So low and behold, guess who comes walking down? MIKE! I just about FLIPPED! Thank God I had my camera in the mall with me. So I dropped my bags (Amanda didn't know what I was doing. lol. I yelled, "That's Mike from MTB! So I went into the stage area and I'm like, "Mike, can I get my picture taken with you?" and he's like, "sure."

Then someone had to take it. So, someone near by did. During that time I called Amanda over to get her pic taken with me, too. So, she did. Then I ask, "Mike, where's the rest of the guys?" and he replies, "They should be coming." So, I walked out of the stage area and then I saw Ikaika. OMG Amanda just about flipped. Shes loves him. lol. So, I walked up to them and I'm like, "Ikaika, can we our picture taken with you?" and he's like, "sure." So we posed. Then, I'm like, "we loved you on Making The Band." He says, "Thanks." Then, I saw Matt and Bryan. So I walked up to them and asked if we could get our pics taken with them. They said, "sure." Then they got on the stage and rehearsed. While they were doing that I took pics and I also found out that you could go right into the stage area and take pics so I got some really good up-close performance pics of them. Then, when they were leaving I yelled by Ikakia. lol. I'm nuts I know but that was one of the BEST days of my life!

LMNT at the Bridgewater Commons Mall, August 12, 2001

On Sunday August 12, a few friends and I went to see LMNT at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. It was really hot and sticky outside and there was a skateboarding contest going on in the parking lot where the guys were supposed to be performing, as well as the are where SHINE was supposed to be. Needless to say, due to the rain, they weren't there, so we were off to start looking for them. People from SHINE had told me that they would be on the 2nd floor of Macy's if it was rainy... Well, we get to the 2nd floor and they're not there. Sigh. We call the people and it turns out that they're upstairs.

We finally get there and they have this huge mural up there and they have people come up and finger-paint...It would later be signed by LMNT and will eventually be auctioned off for charity... So, we met Alan, the founder of SHINE and he was super nice to us.

We were walking through the department store to go to the parking lot when we noticed that this little space had been set up. They had been moved inside. So we wait...the area was really small and everyone kept asking if we were related or if we knew them. We handed out all those great business cards BB made for me and everyone was surprised at how many more sites there were out there. :) Then we see them arrive for a short sound check, literally like 2 minutes and Bryan saw us first. He waved and then they were gone. We had to wait another 30 minutes before they showed up and they were off and running.

They sang five songs and they did the same battle of the loudest that they did in MI. All throughout, Mike, Ikaika and Bryan would see our group and they would wave and smile and wink. And Bryan sang just to me during one part. I was blushing so hard! lol Afterwards, they were supposed to go upstairs so we were trying to get out of the way and we ended up getting corralled along with them and Ikaika was the first one I got to talk to. We get upstairs and let them do their thing.

This mall was a really nice one so there were lots of families around and the guys were awfully sweet to everyone. You could tell that they made quite the impression. Then they made their way over to the signing area in the juniors' section. They signed and took pictures and calmed down some crying children even. Awww! ~

They were as nice as ever and thanked us all for coming out to show support. It's hard to understand I know, but they are the most grounded people you'd ever want to meet. We all knew that these guys were destined for great things, and if this show was any indication...we're NOT going to be disappointed! If any of you get the chance to go to any of the other shows...GO!!!

xoxo all

LMNT at the Northridge Fashion Center, August 2, 2001

When I first heard about LMNT performing in Los Angeles I was physced. I heard about it from their official website, but unfortunately they never put up any details. It took quite some searching and asking around to find out what the deal was. Much thanks to the unofficial Bryan Chan Fan Club for filling in the details.

The event was hosted by Teen People and was slated to last from 2pm-6pm. I, having bad experiences with O-Town public appearances decided to show up early. Around 10 a.m. that is. Armed with an army messenger bag filled with pens, paper, LMNT magazine articles, wallet and sunglasses I thought I could survive the wait. I also brought along my best friend Zan, for fun. She's the best friend everyone wants - she despises pop music, but she was willing to wait with me for what ended up being 8 hours for a band she had never heard of and didn't complain once.

When I arrived at the mall I quickly found the stage Teen People was setting up. I ran into some fabulous people who made the entire afternoon worthwhile. First there was Jennifer, a girl who stood in front of me WAY back in January to meet O-Town. She recognized me first and greeted me with a big hello and hug. Then there was her guy friend, Bo, and her other friend, Stephanie. Our "posse" was completed by Holly and Sami, two girls who remembered who I was from the Greek Theater for an O-Town concert. All of us together decided to wait and hang out.

We, originally, were chillin' on the stage as the staff set up. Everyone there was really friendly, saying hi, smiling. Then they needed to rope off the small stage area. So we moved to the right of the stage, directly behind the ropes. The area they had set aside for the event was very small, and even behind the ropes most of us were close enough to touch the stage. Crazy, huh? Our group spent the first four hours standing up. Some of us didn't eat or go to the bathroom. I didn't eat the entire DAY till I got home at 8pm, but it was well worth it. We all stood up and took shifts while some people explored the mall.

A few more fans showed up. Two women came sporting LMNT T-shirts, but we didn't get a chance to talk to them. Two girls I knew from backstage at the Greek showed up, Agi and Skylar. Very nice girls. And the girl who sat next to me at the Greek named Mellisa, came with her cousin.

Teen People had set up several booths in which you could participate in various activities. These included a Loreal Hair Make-Over station where they would take your picture and digitally "dye" your hair. You also could do a casting call and win free goodie bags. They were raffling off prizes from Encarta, CDs, the chance to be in the front row to LMNT concert, and winterfresh gum.

As they began to take down the ropes it was clear the side all the fans were on would have been let in last. The opposite side of the stage, behind the ropes, a whole bunch of people from the mall had gathered. After four hours of just standing there our group was a little angry. So I started to "cry" (OK, I admit it. That was LOW. But, hey, we were the true fans) and explain my tale to the security guard. He felt bad that we had been waiting so long, and was impressed by all the things I did for LMNT. So he let our side in first. I am pleased to say all of us LMNT fans who spent the entire day standing, holding in our pee, and ignoring our tummy's got FRONT ROW. But since the area was SO small everyone was close enough to the stage so that it wasn't a big deal.

Now, came the hard part. We had no idea when LMNT was going to perform. And it seemed like no one at Teen People knew either. So we had to stand there, with everyone behind us, pushing us forward, and just wait. We started taking shifts. Three people would go out and play the Teen People games, check out the booths, while everyone else saved our prime spots. It worked, and everyone in the crowd started to get to know each other. There were some VERY nice Asian girls behind me, I'm really sad I didn't get their names, and they were super friendly and nice. Big Bryan fans. Yay! Bryan's family was there too.

So, when it was my turn to go leave the front row area I decided to do the Teen People casting call because they were giving away our front row seats. Even though we had to stand, they were considered seats. That's right. After what was now 5 hours of waiting, they were going to move us all back. I had to defend what I had waited for. So I stood there, filling out the questions and taking the Polaroid. Until, I saw Bryan walk by! He was with what I believe was his Aunt - the lady who picked him up at the airport during Making the Band. She was wearing an LMNT tank top. She's SO pretty in person. So I jumped out of line and followed him to the side of the stage.

Let me explain how the stage is set up. There is a stage, in front of it is the audience. But since the area Teen People set up the event was a circle, the backstage area was a circle shape and there was nothing besides a FEW curtains to block it. And all the booths were attached to it. So it was pretty easy to access.

Bryan walked backstage, he was delivering his clothing. I stood waiting for him, shell shocked. He was RIGHT in front of me. When he disappeared, I got back in line. I ended up "winning" the wrist band for the front row again. Most of us did after we explained our stories to the Teen People guy who was super nice.

Earlier in the day Sami and Holly, two of the sweetest girls ever, who were their representing their LMNT fan clubs on Yahoo told me Cy was going to be there. Cy, from Destination O-Town. I was really psyched, because I am addicted to their message board. And when I met Cy at the Greek, it was a really brief encounter. Unfortunately, Sami and Holly had to leave before LMNT or Cy showed up. We really missed them, they were great gals.

JoJo Wright, a KIIS FM DJ showed up. JoJo is the biggest DJ there probably is in South Cali, so a whole bunch of us went up to him and took pictures and chatted with him. Then he went backstage and we returned to the front row. The "Open" song by Loreal started to play through the speakers. I started to sing along. I proudly announced, "I know every single word to this song! They play it in the movies, and I always get up and dance to it!" Everyone laughed and thought I was joking. I was about to show them. Jennifer and I started to sing it really loud, doing silly dance moves. JoJo along with the Teen People Fashion Editor (something like that) came on stage to announce they were doing a karaoke contest.

The first three girls came on. They sang the Loreal song. And they were OK. Meanwhile in the front row Jennifer and I were busy embarrassing ourselves by dancing like dorks and singing along (it was very over the top). All of a sudden the Teen People lady says she wants US on stage. The Loreal people came and found us (hehe) and handed us lyrics. We would be going on right before LMNT, to compete against another group. They even had this lady assigned to watch us; it was crazy fun. Everyone was taking it so seriously. Jennifer and I just wanted to act like dorks.

I spotted Cy as I was under the protectful eye of my bodyguard. Ha! Me ! With a bodyguard! I waved Cy over and we began to chat. I got a picture with her... such a sweet girl... I can't even begin to describe her. Ahh! Simply the best! I ran into her a lot that day. She even knew who I was from the message board. (Oh, for all you DOB-ers I'm NewAgedFool anyway.) Then I was escorted backstage. I talked to some of the models there. And JoJo from KIIS. He was like, "you're crazy, you're gonna blow it up". I kept thinking "this is what it feels like to be LMNT right before you get on stage." There I was, standing in front of everyone, on stage. I held the mic in my hand, and Jennifer and I took to our crazy routine. I should mention I had no vocal ability and I basically hammed my way through it being cheesy and crazy.

Blah blah blah. I got to dance on stage with JoJo blah blah blah. Our team tied with another team, but only because our team saw how nervous they were and we started to dance along and sing with them :) j/k. They were nice, and they liked our back up dancing.

Anyway, onto the good stuff.. The LMNT stuff. I had to just set this up for you. LMNT took the stage at around 5:30. Yes, 5:30. We had been there for nearly 8 hours. Crazy, huh? Most of us were feeling dizzy, nauseous, and unable to stand. But when LMNT got on stage we forgot about all of that. The boys were AMAZING! They sang about 4 or 5 songs really involving the crowd. Bryan taught everyone the chorus of one song and had us all sing it with him. The guys grabbed hands and even sang to a few lucky girls in the audience. Like down on their knees “looking right at you" singing. I was lucky enough to be one of those girls.

The crowd, although small, was really energetic, as were the guys. They sang and danced. Mike rapped a bit. Matt wasn't there, because, as some people know, he left the group. But nothing was lacking. Their singing was rich and full. I was honestly impressed. I do admit that I had low expectations. But they really blew me away. During the performance I got to give Ikaika a letter I wrote to him. Mike reached down and held my hand and then the best moment of all; Bryan grabbed my hand and started singing directly to me. It was CRAZY!

The boys left the stage and then came back to do one encore. That was the best song - it was upbeat and they had the raddest dance moves to that one.

After the show the boys came around to the side of the stage to take pictures and sign autographs for a few lucky contest winners, Agi and Skylar! But, security wasn't tight and EVERYONE swarmed around them. The guys were great, they took pictures, gave hugs, and signed everything. It was really crazy though. Fans were being pushed and knocked around right and left. In my opinion, if they didn't want to do a meet and great, they should have done it backstage. Because doing it ten minutes after the show RIGHT next to the stage was crazy. It wasn't organized and I was scared someone was going to be hurt. Nonetheless, the boys were careful about where they were and conscious of everyone around them. I didn't see ONE disappointed fan. Not one. I got an autograph from Ikaika, a hug and autograph from Bryan (who seemed to have the most fans there “represent" ya'all!) And I got a hug from Mike. Doc Holliday was there (he was O-Town's vocal coach on Making the Band during the second season). I had met him before, and he was nice enough to stand and talk to me for a while. He was such a sweetie! He gives the best hugs. By the time LMNT left the mall it was 6:30 and I was dead exhausted and began my LONG journey home. But that's another story.

The entire event was pretty well organized, but whatever needed to be improved was definitely made up for. LMNT did a flawless performance, and was nice enough to satisfy all of their fans. Which was really hard with the lack of security and planning. No one - not even Teen People, knew what to expect. But the boys were just fabulous! And I would do it all over again!

My cousin and I were able to see them perform at Club Sea World on July 5th. It was my grad/going away gift for her since she's leaving soon for dental school up in NY, and also a gift to myself since I'm going through some difficult times in life. All in all, I have to say we had a great time! Can we say HOTTIEs!?! They even look awesome in person...good GAWD! Anyways, we felt honored to get their autographs and to even shake hands w/them. We even got some good shots that hopefully I'll be able to develop soon. We felt like it was a once in a lifetime kinda thing and we were so happy to be able to support them while they were in our city. We hope to see them again sometime or to even get a chance to talk to them, but for now they still RoCk!@!@!

Hello. My name is Sarah and I met Bryan Chan. He was a real sweetheart. I actually met him twice. LMNT performed at Club Sea World and I went and saw them perform. They were great, by the way. Anyways, he saw me in the front row and put me on his video camera. It was really cool. Then during the concert he sang to me a lot and he even blew me a kiss and winked at me!!! Then after the show there was an autograph signing and i got to meet him. I got a pic with LMNT and I got a hug from Bryan. Then the second time I met him was at the Teen People Surf & Sun Event. I got there early and I saw him and talked to him a little bit. Then during that performance he sang to me and held my hand during one song. He was really sweet to me and he winked at me. Then after that performance he told me how awesome I was in the crowd and said it was really cool how I was singing and jumping and screaming. So, that was my experience with Bryan Chan of LMNT. He was really nice and if you ever get the opportunity if LMNT is in your town, you should talk to Bryan cuz he is such a sweetie and I love him to death!!!

Hi, Im April Stone and I went to the LMNT concert on Thursday, July 5th at Sea World. I know Bryan's Aunt Vicki and so I got to go and see them perform. Bryan paid for ME to get in to Sea World. I got to hang out with his mom and family the whole night and they made me a T-shirt that said "LMNT" on it with their faces. Then they took us to where they were signing and talking. I got to take pictures and they signed my shirt and a picture. I talked to them for a while. I also got a hug from Bryan!!!! It was Mike, Ikaika and Bryan. They are So nice. Bryan remembered me, because he called me on the phone a couple of months ago to talk and stuff and so his mom was like, "Here is April" and it was So cool. I felt so special and all these girls were like, "OMG, you're family with him. That's so cool." I might get to go to their concert in Mission Beach, too. So i was happy. Anyway, just wanted to share that with you all.

Hey! I was at Trendfest and I was dying to meet the guys. Turns out I ended up talking to Mike and Bryan all morning at the hotel, taking pics with the guys behind the stage before their performance (which totally rocked, they sound amazing especially accapella) and getting meet and greet passes. To top my great day off at the end of the performance the guys gave away a blown up autographed poster of them in a past Teen People NOW section and they asked where are the guys from? The girl they called on got it wrong, because she said that Mike was from Chicago, so I started screaming, "Jersey" and Mike saw me and I won it! So now I have this giant LMNT autographed poster above my bed. I love it! Thanks guys. If you wanna see the poster I won here's the site:

Hi everyone...this is my review of LMNT's performance at Trendfest on June 1st.

First of all, I went with a few friends of mine and we were so late getting there that I thought we would miss them, but it must have been fate...We got there at 3:55pm and they went on at 4:05pm!

We got to talk to them before the show and Ikaika kept looking for our little group in the audience during the show. He even waved several times. They sang a few songs and put on a great show. Took lots of pics! After, we were handing out our bright, yellow flyers, when AJ saw us and pulled us right into the front of the line of the Meet and Greet. We got to hang out with them for a while and it was great having a nice conversation and not even thinking about asking for an autograph or anything like that. They loved the flyers and thanked us for showing up and supporting them.

We met LMNT at the Style Jam in NY on 12/14/2000. Bryan and Mike were standing there and I was like, "Oh, oh, oh... Aren't you from..." and Bryan says, "Making The Band? Yes, we are." He introduced us to Mike and took a great picture with my daughter. Then we saw them at the O-Town concert and Bryan says to Mike, "Mike, remember her? (Meaning my daughter) The one that wouldn't talk to us at the Style Jam," and Mike was like, "Yea, how are you doing?!" He saw the pics we took that day and signed more autographs for my daughter! They were really very nice. As soon as I can scan the pics, I will. Thanks, I hope Bryan sees this!!

Hey, girls!

I've finally got around to writing up my LMNT encounter. So, here we go!

It was January 27, 2001. Just days before my eighteenth birthday. And what was my gift? My little sister won tickets to see LMNT from Radio Disney, and I was going with her! I made a little sign that said, "LMNT, it's my 18th birthday!"

My sisters, my mother, and I were front row center. It was amazing. We cheered for the other bands, of course, but we were all there for LMNT. (My mom is hopelessly in love with Ikaika...) Anyway, before the group came out, Jazzy Jenn, (the DJ/host) saw my sign. She said she'd "have to do something about it". So when the group came out, I forgot she said anything. Instead, I watched and sang along, (we had some of the songs memorized cuz Radio Disney played a concert preview and we'd taped all the songs they played,) just excited to be there.

During "One Day Too Long", my favorite ballad by the guys, Mike saw my sign. He mouthed, "It's your birthday?" I said yes, and he answered, "Happy birthday!" I was soaring.

I don't know if Bryan saw my sign, too, but either way, he came over to me during his part. He picked up a rose that the group before them had left on the stage, handed it to me, and sang right into my eyes as he held my hand and the rose. I was dying, and blushing bright red.

Next was the BIG DEAL. They started to introduce some song, (I really can't remember which one--I think it was "I Want Her (She's All That)",) but Mike stopped Matt. He whispered in his ear and pointed TO ME! Matt leaned down and read my sign out loud. "It's your eighteenth birthday?"

"Yeah," I squeaked. "Actually, it's Monday."

"That's okay," he replied. Then, he took my hand and pulled me up. He tried to lead me around the speakers so I could get onstage, but I was so excited, I jumped right over them! Then, as I stood between the four of them, they sang the most beautiful version of "It's Your Special Day (Happy Birthday)" RIGHT TO ME! My family's cameras were going off like crazy as I cried and watched them sing for me.

After the concert and my amazing birthday present, we went out to the MEET & GREET part of the show. When we got to LMNT's table, they started commenting on my sister's homemade LMNT shirt and our glittery, homemade bandanas. Bryan nicknamed us the "Official LMNT Bandana Girls", (which is who my sister's autograph is written to), and they signed out autographs. Mine is filled with birthday wishes and congratulations, and is hanging over my stereo on the wall. It's my most cherished item.

I e-mailed Bryan to thank him for what they did for me, and he e-mailed me back just recently. He said he was honored that I wanted to spend my birthday with them, and that they'd be doing a bunch of things this summer. I can't wait to see them again and thank them for making me the happiest 18-year-old in New York.

PS: I can't scan my pictures! I'm going to have my brother try, but I can't guarantee anything. I wish you could see how pathetic I looked crying like a baby on stage!

Lots of Love & LMNT FOREVER!

I went to New York the other day and I saw Bryan with Mike. My friends and I followed for about 5 blocks, then I finally said, "Excuse me are you from Making the Band?" Then, we asked them if we could take a picture with them. They were the nicest guys ever. I looked so horrible because it was the hottest and I was wearing a sweater, so I must have been sweating so much. I felt bad afterwards for saying Making the band and not saying "Are you guys LMNT?" but I was so excited I couldn't even think. As soon as I get the picture I will send it to you.

Dear Fan Club,

A couple months ago, I picked up the February issue of Popstars magazine. While flipping through, I found an interview with LMNT. I was completely shocked, when at the bottom of the page, I read that I would have a chance to win a Valentine's card signed by our four guys. All I had to do, was make a creative Valentine and send it in along with a questionaire. I put all of my class work aside, and for one and a half weeks straight, I poured my heart into the LMNT Valentine's day poem book. After what seemed like decades later, I finally recieved something in the mail. I ripped it open to find a card signed with messages from LMNT! I was totally surprised! The card now has a happy home above my bed. Well, I just wanted to share that with you all, in case you were wondering who won. Thanks!

From Miami,
Keep up the good work and remember to smile!

Here is a pic of me and my friends with Mike and Ikaika. We met them at the Suissotel in Boston in 2000. NSYNC was staying at the hotel, so we stayed there. We had no clue that Ikaika wasn't in O-Town at the time. LOL Bryan and Matt were there too, my other friends got pics with them. Mike gave all of us a bunch of autographed postcard type LMNT flyers. They were all really sweet.

Well this is sort of weird. Well I can probably get you infomation because he's sort of my cousin... second cousin. It's the weirdest thing, because I just found out that it was him on TV. See, I only see Bryan during family reunions, because really he's my second cousin... and I went to this party just recently and his mom was there with ALL this stuff (and home videos). It was the cutest thing. Anyway, all of a sudden they go on talking that he was Bryan, Bryan Chan... THEE Bryan Chan. I didn't believe it! I mean, well see he's way older than me and he's my second cuzz... and I only see him and his family once a year. I didn't think it would be 'him' on Making The Band... and when I found out it was him... I went crazy!!!!! Wow! His mom was just laughing at me, but I just wanted to share my Bryan cousin story, because I thought it was hilarious that I just found out that it was really him. Thanks for putting up with my story. =]

Hey, I don't have much info on him, but I watched the show Making the Band almost every Friday and found out that my mom works with his Aunt. She got me autographed pictures and stuff. She asked him to call me, so at 10:00, he called me and talked to me for about 45 minutes. It was really cool. He just told me to never give up because I had tried out for a bunch of stuff and hadn't made it. He said it took him a while to get where he is now and he never gave up, so he accomplished his dream. He was really, really nice. I hope to meet him sometime in person. I want to go to their concerts and get backstage passes - that would be cool.

Hey all!~
Just wanted to say that I finally got to see LMNT in a live performance on January 27th. They were the Featured Guests for Radio Disney's First Listening Party at the NY Hall of Science in Queens. All that hard work has definitely been worth the wait! They sounded superb and their dancing was amazing! It was the whole "package" of the group that held your attention riveted. They even sang a birthday song to a fan who was turning 18 that day. It was so sweet! After the performance, they had an autograph session for the fans, and yes...I got to meet all four of them this time. They're still real, sweet and nice as can be...It was a great day in all!!

The picture was at Sasha's wedding (AJ's sister). LMNT performed and were guests, and my Mom really wanted to get her picture with them. She really liked them and especially Bryan. Unfortunately, my Mom lost her battle with Cancer about a month later. Bryan was kind enough to sing at her funeral, he had everyone in tears when he sang Amazing Jeanne (Grace).

Here is a page dedicated to my Mom: http://www.johnnyjet.com/folder/eulogies.html.
