Dragoners
Pulling back her long, wildly curling copper hair, Shaeya breathed deeply of the thick air surrouding Brynmor and smiled. "What thinks you?" She asked her small amber companion, who twittered happily, flaring her wings and cheeping.
Laughing, Shaeya turned her vibrant green eyes to look at the shadow that shifted within her caerlet. "Scleanth?"
I think that you should come in. The dark green and black dragoness commanded, her eyes glowing an eerie red as she watched her bond and everything around her. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending how you looked at it, Scleanth was incredibly possesive and protective, and Shaeya was her first priority. As much as Shaeya appreciated the added protection, it could get trying.
With a small grin, Shaeya abandoned the balcony and entered the spacious caerlet, looking around with more than a little pride. Narha, her younger sister, was also at the Caer with her young son, and the two had made themselves at home, helping out in the kitchen and with various smaller tasks that needed doing.
"I think you can relax." Shaeya chided, falling back onto the large bed and grinning as it pillowed about it. Etln landed on her pillow and let out a series of musical lines, ending with a trilling sigh as she curled up on the pillow, closing her rapidly whirling eyes.
Rolling onto her side, Shaeya eyed her dragoness with a certain amount of awe. Even after three years, the sheer strength radiating from the female, the sinuous lines and graceful movements, took away her breath. Spikes ran along her spine, and her scales blended amazingly from the softest green to the deepest black. Her eyes, always watching, were at the moment an angry red.
"I do take you seriously." Shaeya said with a sigh, rising and crossing the room to gently wrap her arms around the muscular forearm at her level. Scleanth dropped her head to have her eyeridges scratched and crooned softly, blinking as she watched Shaeya's face.
They mentioned that my flight is approaching. Scleanth mentioned hesitantly, knowing how violently Shaeya reacted to male attentions. Shifting under the close watch, Shaeya nodded and bit her lip.
"It was mentioned to me as well." She conceded, before dropping the subject. Although the hatred of the male sex had lessened, she still preferred to be alone. She could not trust them, for anything, and while she regretted it, she did not try overly hard to change it.
"And?" The dragoness asked gently, laying down, her eyes calming to a lesser shade of maroon.
"Brynmor is accepting females at this point, what with things moving more swiftly as they were, or so Kesava mentioned."
Mentioned?
"Having your flight here." Shaeya said firmly, a frown creasing her smooth, tanned brow as she gently pushed away from the dragon and crossed to the balcony again. "She's posting shortly, if she hasn't already ready."
Nodding in agreement, her eyes whirling more quickly in eager anticipation, Scleanth agreed to the location with a wicked, toothy grin.
"Don't look so happy." Shaeya said with a frown, looking over her gently sloping shoulder to glare at the female. Already, she could see a difference, a light that made her green brighter, her black deeper. Knowing she was running out of time, Shaeya gave a sigh and rubbed her eyes. "You know I'm not looking forward to this."
No one will catch me who does not also interest you. Scleanth said with a knowing smirk, and Shaeya let out a laugh.
"Bring it on," she challenged, knowing full well that the dragoness would find no one to meet her standards.
She couldn't allow it.
