With a 29:1 gear ratio and an original Pittman DC-71 motor, the speed at 12 V was above 90 SMPH. Replacing magnet with neodymium stack reduces speed to about 65 SMPH with more torque to better match the 32 oz weight. See NEW MAGNET FOR DC-71 ![]() Note: Adjust brightness and contrast for optimum viewing. Pittman DC-71 with new magnets. The rear bracket was screwed on with a 4-40 x 1/8" from the bottom. A washer was placed under the front bracket to obtain good mesh. The same method can be applied, using Bowser's frames. |
