Not the best the best I've ever since of the same genre but it was ok I suppose but it could have been much better. There were many opportunities where it could have been made so that there was more suspence, or at least you knew exactly what was coming but when it came it was something worth waiting for, this was rarely the case. It also lacked the thing that I like so much about these sort of films, I like to call it "shoutability." This is that the victim is doing something that is so obviously going to get them killed, and it is obvious to everyone else in the world apart from them but they still go ahead and do it anyway just because it's a movie and that's what happens, there was a bit but it was lacking somewhat for my liking. The end was excellent though, exactly as it should be in such a movie, and what's that you ask....................Damn funny, that's what, even though I knew what was going to happen because I remembered what Drew Barrymore said at the beginning of Scream. The effects for some of the murder scenes are worth watching it for ie. axe in the head, knife from under the bed and through the throat and body full of arrows are three of the highlights. |
