This is where i will post any encounters that i have with the band. I don't have reviews for *ALL* the times that i've met them though, just the most significant moments.
My first time that i got to meet OLP was at the Intimate and Interactive. Read about it
I was able to attend the soundcheck for OLP's show in February, and i got to meet a few of the band members that day. Click Here for the concert review of that day.
One of the most exciting days of my life was my drum lesson with my idol, Jeremy Taggart. Click Here!
July 28, 2000, Jeremy was "guest-Fredding" on the Humble and Fred show. I woke up extra early and headed downtown to go see him. Coolest thing about the whole day was the fact that Jeremy recognized me (from the drum lesson) the second he came in the room, and he seemed pretty happy to see me :)
On November 16, 2000, I had the opportunity to attend a drum clinic with Jeremy. (this is different from the earlier lesson, because that one was just me and him, whereas with this one, he was teaching a class of students). I arrived late, due to unforseen circumstances, and missed him drumming (which is the sad part) but the cool part is that he asked a friend of mine "Where's Katie?!" before he started playing. I got to talk to him afterwards, and he told me that he was wondering where i was! He signed a little cartoon that i drew of the band, and he thought it was just great :)
On December 11, 2000, Jeremy and Raine dropped by Edge 102's studios for a breakfast and a chat, before their big show at the Phoenix (which was technically a little show!) I got to meet both of the guys; I got pix with both of them together, and one with each of them alone. Raine signed the same little cartoon, and he really loved it. Interesting side note - the only way i could get downtown that morning was with my mom, so while she was taking a picture of me and raine, she says to him "you should definitely appreciate this, because i had to wake up at 5am to get her downtown on time!" And I turned to Raine and said, "That's my mom!" And he goes to me "You've got a really cool mom!" (my mom was pretty happy after he said that)
