Michelle trained in Russian folk and character dance in her homeland the Ukraine. Of Ukraine and Turkish descent, Michelle has danced all her life. A qualified instructor of international Ballroom dance, Michelle has embraced the Oriental Dance passionately, firstly as a devoted student to Lissa Kay and then as a teacher and manager of her own troupe and studio in Sydney.
Michelle is also an artist who designs and makes her own costumes.

Bellydance Artists
Bellydance Artists is made up of the students from the school of the same name run by Michelle Moscova. In general their routines follow more traditional forms of belly dancing. However, this performance is a special project based on the gypsy dancing of Russia and is danced to the tune Sing Gypsies by Russian singer Zina Pavlova.
This is the last performances of the group as the school will be closing at the end of May so Michelle can finish an Honours degree in Medical Science at Sydney University.

Ali's Angels
Once upon a time there were three little girls who went to belly dance academies. They were each assigned hazardous dancing duties.
But I took them away from all that and now they work for me…
…My name is Ali and these are my angels.

Ali's Angels is a professional troupe of three dancers who work in the corporate arena around Sydney. It was founded by Michelle Moscova of Bellydance Artists two years ago.
The current incarnation of the Ali's Angels has been together for a year.
Their clients include some of Australia's largest public companies including Optus, Mitsubishi, AMP and many others.
The troupe offers a modern interpretation of bellydancing and even dances to contemporary tunes which are not of Arabic origin. Big Spender (the Shirley Bassey version) is an example of this. The costumes borrow heavily from fashions of the early 50s and late 60s.
Michelle's graceful solo performance with veil is more traditional, although it has some modern flourishes woven into the routine.
