EFEMERIDES 1999

COMETAS PERIODICOS 1999

Continuamos con la inclusión predicciones de coordenadas de cometas periódicos. Su seguimiento es una útil práctica para el descubrimiento de nuevos cometas, aparte de ser importante en sí misma, dado que es necesario corregir permanentemente los parámetros orbitales de estos elusivos integrantes del sistema solar y además su comportamiento (a veces inesperado) permite conocer más sobre su naturaleza. Nuevamente, se incluyen datos sobre el importante cometa Hale-Bopp.

Las efemérides para cometas que se brindan a continuación fueron obtenidas con un programa de cálculo desarrollado por nuestro consocio JOSE R. CAROZZA de la Sección Sistema Solar de nuestra Asociación, por medio de un algoritmo basado en el problema de los dos cuerpos. El cómputo estuvo a cargo de nuestras consocias ALEXIA ROTZAJT y MARIA SOLEDAD FERNANDEZ. Los elementos orbitales utilizados fueron extraídos del "Astronomical Almanac 1999" y de distintas IAUC y MPEC (éstas últimas tomadas de Internet). Se han elegido los intervalos más favorables de posible observación para cada cometa, descartando los de pobre elongación y brillo, y los de elevada declinación boreal. Además de los periódicos con perihelio en 1999, incluímos algunos no periódicos interesantes por su magnitud.
