The anticipation of this show was high amongst ourselves. We have never practiced together since July 13th 1997 but on the day of our first practice the rust fell off and we were back. It was like not doing anything for a month. We ran through all of our old songs. We even tried out a few new ideas such as Nune, 19 x 2.5 and the ill-fated song Red Truck, they all unfortunately as the deadline for the show was coming never made it to see the light of a live show. However the song Always Avoid Annoying Alliteration Asshole finally made it into fruition as a recording on one of our practice tapes and is available for all to enjoy finally on our newest release Ready To Be Baked.

This was our 53rd appearance and our 10th Anniversary show. That night we played with Junior Jellybeans. This was their first live show as the Junior Jellybeans with a full set of music. The band was Jan and Jeff of Cartoon Khaki. Next was Kun Ruins. Tim Ford, guitar, Josh Bean, drums and Stephanie Rymon-Lipinski on bass. They just blew the night away. These guys are amazing and are worth coming to a show to see. Thomas And The Evil Computer followed the Kun Ruins. Wax Mannequin was next. Of course after the Wax was us, for the first time in 6 and a half years. .

Old age has its toll
That night we played Monopoly Rules, Knight Rider, Jex Street with the old sax part gone and new vocals instead, Pink Truck, Ferrari, Ray Is Gay, Yellow Truck, Orange Jews, Sex Is Bad, This Ain't No Picnic (Minutemen), Sex Roadie, Naugahyde Beast, Searching For Giant Squid 2.Funk, Jakie Chan Is A Punk Rocker (Heavy Vegetable), I.Q. Envy, Drugs Are A Pain In The Ass, Goat, Death Of The Flying Crane, Canada, Spatula (Heavy Vegetable), Healthy Alternative To Toilet Paper, My Heart In The Real World (Minutemen), Rrrrr!, and finally we end the show with Mr. Mugs The Dog.
Rob appeared on stage wrapped up in a white blanket wearing a Storm Trooper mask from Star Wars and ripped it off when the set started. Rice Krispie squares were given away as prizes. The show ended up being just over 70 minutes long. We could have easily taken up more time but 24 songs was enough. After all this time we could still belt it out. There were two live recordings of us that were made that night. One was a video filmed with the Fisher Price PXL-1000 and is for sale through Wolfbeat Records. The other was an audio recording of the whole show and is for sale through Wolfbeat Records as well. So if you want to know more about the show buy a copy and check it out.
