Manny's a bright girl with a wildly romantic sensibility. Self-assured and spunky, at school she's a chatterbox - always giggling with friends and gossiping about the boys. But at home she's a dutiful daughter. Born in the Philippines, raised in Canada, Manny is caught between two worlds. Though respectful of her heritage and all that it entails (like the fact that her parents already have a husband picked out for her), the older she gets the more her two worlds collide. It helps that Manny has a kind of "innocence" - she's oblivious of the latest fads and trends, while retaining her high morals. Due to her disdain materialistic things, Manny has managed to find an ally in Emma.

Emma's best friend. Manny's always happy, at least on the outside. But she's getting kind of sick of just being "Emma's friend," so look for Ms. Santos trying to find ways to make a name for herself.

The smiley sidekick to Emma, Manny's really grown over the summer, but doesn't stop her from getting involved where she shouldn't and sometimes spilling secrets. While her parents are very strict, Manny always finds a way to go to the dance or on a date? Finally, after all the gossiping and giggling over boys, Manny may discover the truth about romance -- that it is not easy.
Though she's a gymnast and cheerleader, she's still shy and easily overshadowed. But when this wallflower finally does blossom, watch out!

Manny seriously changed her image this year. She was tired of being "cute," so now she's going for sexy. She's definitely getting more attention from boys; problem is she's also alienated her best friends Emma and J.T. in the process. Manny dated Craig once last year, and he ended up breaking her heart. She never got over it. This year, she went back for more, and a major hook-up ensued. But it all ended up the same way...

When cute little Manny decided to become hot hot hot Manny, her life kind of fell apart for a while. First, she decided she was every little bit of that and toyed with all the guys. Then she seduced Craig when she knew he was dating Ashley. He cheated on Manny right back, and she ended up with a broken heart and a rep, and almost lost her best friend Emma, too. So the playaness has been toned down, and she's dating her old friend J.T. So the playaness has been toned down. Manny dated her old friend J.T. for a while, and now she's clearly got it for Spinner.

Bubbly, vivacious and maybe just a bit ditzy, cheerleader Manny is definitely boy-crazy, and she's determined to put last year and her heartache with Craig behind her. After her film experience with Kevin Smith, Manny sees herself destined for Hollywood, by any means necessary.

Manny was known for being a cute, sassy, head-strong cheerleader but ended up being known as the "school slut" who lives at Emma's because her parents kicked her out.
On the upside, she scored a top acting agent and got together with Craig. Now she's ready to put her past behind her.
All she has to do is fill the vacuum left by Paige, head up the Spirit Squad, and become Degrassi's Queen-Bee.
No problemo. But Manny's learned a lot the past few years - so what's going to happen when the going gets really tough?
