Drawing Blood (4 minute team penalty, player is ejected from game): If a
player bleeds after a minor penalty, a major penalty may result. Goalies must
serve all penalties that they are awarded. Any player receiving any combination
of three penalties during a game is automatically ejected from the game. The
third penalty will be served by a teammate. A player serving a penalty must
return to the playing surface after completion of their penalty, before a
substitution can occur.
After three misconducts in one season a player may be subject to further
penalty at the discretion of the Executive committee. Any player given a game
misconduct must exit the playing area. If a number one ranked player is serving
a penalty, another number one ranked player of the same team is not permitted
to play until the penalty has expired. The number one ranked player serving
the penalty is considered to still be on that line even though they are in
the penalty box.
