Summer 2000

So now here I am a couple of years later. I still sing with the Triangle Gay Men's Chorus and have recently returned from singing with them in San Jose at GALA 2000. I'm fairly active and involved. I've marched in three NC Pride celebrations as well as the Millenium March on Washington.

I've been in love, and I've experienced the pain of breaking up. Thank God, I've also experienced healing and the absolute joy of meeting someone who really wants to share my life.

Tim and I met in December, 1999. We spent most of the Christmas season getting to know eachother better. He even went with me to my company Christmas party, where we danced together! We spent the Y2K New Year's Eve quietly on the North Carolina coast, toasting the new millenium on the beach.

As the weeks have now turned to months, we face the challenge of sometimes living hours apart as Tim's job is on a contract basis; but the time apart drives us to make our time together count. It helps that we both care so much about eachother.

I'm so glad I summoned the guts to go up to Tim and say, "Hi."
