There are many new and used restaurant supply houses out there. With the new furnishings, a catalogue is usually availble from these supply houses, and even your food purveyors. One should not dismiss however, used equipment, fixtures and table/glass ware. This would require some extra time on your part to visit their store. Make sure to keep carefull notes, and bring along a Poloroid to take photo's of things that you are seriously considering. Buying used equipment is like buying a used car. Limited warranty, as well as price negotiation. The more you look around, the more you'll have a better grip on the going rate for certain items. Feel free to call around and get prices as well. Most salespeople work on commission, in this line of business, so if you find a good one, KEEP them!! If you're the stripes and plaids type of person, you may want to consider hiring an Interior Decorator. NOTE: Health Department, Building Inspection, AND/OR Fire Department inspection may require certain distances & placement of equipment & furnishings. Please check into this. |
