Chief Some of my favorite mountain pictures. I love the mountain fresh air and the exercise I get hiking to the ridges to enjoy a good view. I don't hunt the animals anymore because I like to watch them and learn from them. When watching them, I will spook the animals if I see some poachers coming. This picture was taken in Gifford Pinchot National Forest on the Cispus River, notice I have my brother Ty's tipi setup. This picture was taken before I captured a 1976 Dodge Establishment, "my covered wagon". That covered wagon was torched by some angry person. You have to read that story that will be posted in the "New" Chapter. ![]() Looking Northwesterly towards Mount Rainier from the top of Chinook Pass. State Hiway 410 runs from Puyallup to Yakima and there are a lot of nice creeks to fish in, lakes to swim in and healthy animals to scare you in the night. ![]() Looking North from the "Natchez Trail" that runs from Canada to Mexico. This picture was taken about five miles north of Hiway 410. I was following a big Bull Elk looking for the rest of his ladies. ![]() This picture was taken at Snoqualmie Pass when I was trying to learn how to ski. I fell down more times on one trip down the hill than I did going up the hill to ski down. I still got up laughing each time I fell and tried to make it a little bit farther before falling down again. ![]() Looking Southeasterly from a ridge between Elbe and Morton, Washington, looking towards Mount Adams. There were a lot of deer and elk in this area and I camped in my motorhome near this area for days to watch them play. The deer would come down the mountain along the clear-cut where I took this picture. I was camping about a mile north of this spot along a creek. ![]() I took this picture looking at Mount Saint Helens from a ridge north of the mountain. You can barely see the crater left by the volcano blast. From this ridge, I could watch several different logging roads and animal trails for any type of movement. ![]() This picture was taken by my step-mom at the tribal cemetary office. Suzy wanted to know why I had a rifle in the car, so I explained that one of my duties as a volunteer Wildlife Commissioner was to catch the poachers of wild animals. I took a lot of pictures of the poachers "hunting out of season" and passed them on to the State wildlife agents. This car was all over the mountains. I Chained all four-tires in the winter months and added additional weight. ![]() ![]()
