Grand Staircase / Escalante N.M., along Scenic Utah Highway 12

Between Capitol Reef N.P. and Bryce Canyon N.P is a very scenic stretch of highway, with humongous vistas of mostly federal lands, with amazing side canyons, daring roadways, and curious state parks. The Larb overlook on Boulder Mountain provides 200-mile views across all of SE Utah, even to N Arizona. Burr Trail is an adventurous road from Boulder through C.R.N.P. to Bullfrog on Lake Powell.
