Manoel Ignácio de Mello e Souza was a magistrate and became Desembargador, later receiving the title of Baron of Pontal [Barão de Pontal]. Maybe, "Jaguari", that is, Visconde de Jaguari [Vicount of Jaguari], José Ildefonso de Souza Ramos, which was great landlord and was Conselheiro de Estado [State Counsellor], president of the Province of Minas Gerais (entered: 4th/Nov/1848), also as senator of the Empire, nominated in 1853.
