If you haven't seen the sort of thing featured clubs get beyond the club logo which appears on our clubsite for a week, then you haven't seen anything yet.

Each week (sometimes monthly), ArrylT reviews and forwards the name or a list of clubs which have requested and meet the guidelines for featuring (see Feature Policy). A full webpage is prepared with fresh graphics, describing the club, displaying over a dozen graphics for clubsite display, and offering banners and more.

In March, we began adding in groups as well as clubs, recognizing that we will all be groups soon. If you haven't added your group to our list yet, please send me an e-mail (see address below).

Take the time to stop by one or two of these clubs for a visit, or see their description in our Member Club Listing to see if this club is one that appeals to your own interests.

Club policy is to allow membership for ninety (90) days to persons not reporting a club in foundership. This period allows persons who join to learn how to start clubs to ask questions and receive assistance in setting up their clubs. After the grace period, persons who have not reported a club foundership are administratively removed from CFC membership. It's part of our contract with you that all members are founders. If you have not reported a club because you wish the club name to remain confidential or you just forgot, please write: Angelpie_Mouse@yahoo.com.

Considering the volitility of the Internet (and the assistance of hackers making it that way), for a club to survive to its first anniversary is a milestone deserving recognition, for a club to make it to two years is...well! So, this newsletter we recognize all clubs which have survived to celebrate the surpassing of their founding date in the month of April because they did. Hello everyone. This month sure was exciting for our members. I have many news items for you!

Club Successes!

Great News from cathouse_colony_01 of Cat Lovers Anonymous II! She writes:

Cat Lovers Anonymous II continues to grow. As you may recall, I woke Christmas morning to find that the Christmas Grinch had taken control of my Yahoo! account, removed that account from all clubs in which it was a member, and deleted all clubs in which the account was a founder. This did not make for a particularly merry Christmas. Fortunately, I was in the habit of keeping a record of all members of all clubs in which I was a founder ... a record which I updated (and continue to update) every week without fail.

I created a new Yahoo! account, and on the auspicious date of January 1, 2001 ... the "real" beginning of the new millennium ... Cat Lovers Anonymous II was born. I attempted to send an email to every member of the deleted Cat Lovers Anonymous club by addressing the email to [member ID]@yahoo.com, and in that email I explained the disappearance of Cat Lovers Anonymous and invited each former member to join Cat Lovers Anonymous II.

Almost 50% of those emails bounced back, but I kept careful records, looked up the profile of each bounced back email recipient in hopes of finding an alternate email address, and for those with no alternate email address I used the "invite" tool to invite them to the second edition of the club. I'm very pleased that over 100 of the original club members have found their way to Cat Lovers Anonymous II.

We now have a regular chat every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time in Cat Lovers Anonymous II, and through these chats we have forged some very special friendships among members. Some of us have even had the pleasure of meeting in person. We've discovered that we not only share a love of cats, but we have several other interests in common as well.

If you are in love with a cat or cats (plural), Cat Lovers Anonymous II may be the club for you.

The month of April, in the US, is National Poetry Month. Being spotlighted in Yahoo! Clubs is our member club Honorary Poet's Society, founded by Alska_Du. While the club, itself, is not actually named, a click on the link word Poetry in the Clubs Spotlight announcement will take you directly to the club, where you can enjoy the contributions of members or join and submit one of your own.

Honorary Poet's Society, with over one thousand members, is number three in its category of Entertainment & Arts > Humanities > Books and Writing > Genres > Poetry, one of the largest categories in Yahoo!. That fact is testimony of the popularity of the literary art form as a means of personal expression.

Congratulations on being chosen for the Yahoo! Club Spotlight.

One of our newest members, Wingss2fly is very excited to announce that her group, CA Scouts is celebrating its second year anniversary on April 9th and continues to grow with 3-4 new members each month. The CA in this case stands for California and the scouts stands for Girl Scouts of America. If you are a GS Leader in the state of California, or interested in becoming one, check out this Yahoo! Group.

News from the Joseph Campbell Mythology Group

The Joseph Campbell Mythology Group is starting a web journal/newsletter for the group, with the first issue in April. It will be published on their website at http://www.oocities.org/Athens/Sparta/9277/jcmg_journal.html. The first issue includes an article on recent archeological discoveries in Ecuador that raise questions whether civilization began in South America. If you have even a passing interest in mythology, it is sure to be something you won't want to miss.
