Conversion to Yahoo! ID

You already know why to do it. Let's talk about how to do it.

The first thing you need is your eGroups/Yahoo! Groups information, that is: the e-mail address you used at registration with eGroups/Yahoo! Groups and your password. If you have never registered with eGroups/Yahoo! Groups, then conversion is probably not necessary, but why take a chance. Register now and you can also use CFC_Experimental for more a in-depth, hands-on experience. You gotta learn some time.

With this information--e-mail address and password--go to the Yahoo! Groups Start-Up page at http://groups.yahoo.com

On the Start-Up page, you will see a link on the left hand side, which is pictured here circled in red. Click that link! It will take you to the Yahoo! Groups' Conversion Wizard (didn't they get fancy with the names) as pictured below.

Enter your e-mail address and your Groups (not your Yahoo!) password in the appropriate spaces as pictured above. It's a very simple process and very little can go wrong, and yet... well, if you don't need to convert, if you've done it and forgotten, you'll get an error message.
