Mankind has always possessed a paradoxical out-look on death; fear and fascination have laced death through every religion and social aspect. As such, religion obviously plays a strong role in directing one's perspective on death and the realm beyond. Noone can dispute the fact that, at some point, we will die. But what is death? Where does it lead? Realistically, we cannot completely understand death and what is beyond until we have transversed that part of the journey ourselves; but then we are not around to share the knowledge. We can, however, attempt to understand Why we are so facinated and afraid, as well as where our beliefs derive from. Perhaps even unlock some secrets of Life while investigating the mysteries of Death. | |
