MAT 101 : Nature and Language of Mathmatics


This course is designed to give the non-math student a feeling of what mathematics is really like, to reveal its content and excitement, and to explore the connections between mathematics and other areas of human understanding. Individual topics are not covered in depth, but enough to give the student a flavor of the topics. Reading materials for the course will be provided by the instructor. Prerequisites: None. Course fee $5. Credits 3.
