A basic course in college algebra including applications to problems from different disciplines. Topics include properties of the real numbers, operations on polynomials, linear and quadratic equations, systems of linear equations, functions, graphs, exponentials, and logarithms. Prerequisite: Adequate performance on a qualifying examination. Credits 3.
