A few tips on correct pouring procedures

After the desired cereal and proper bowl is selected the meal can be poured. The first step to proper cereal pouring is the cereal. "Of course", you may say, but many people go through life pouring milk first. While some may eventually adapt to a world of spilled milk, it is certainly not the correct way to pour cereal.

There are many dangers in pouring milk first. The first and most obvious reason is the spilled milk. Without extreme care, the milk will either hit the hard bottom of the bowl and splash out in all directions or hit the side of the bowl flowing across the center of the bowl, up the other side and out onto the counter.

Pouring the cereal first gives the milk a permeable surface to flow into. The milk will flow into the cavities of the cereal pile and settle gently to the bottom of the bowl.
