AMA - Organizational Setup

ORGANIZATIONAL SETUP

AMA is working as a Social Wing of Abbottonians Old Boys Association (AOBA), which is registered with the Social & Welfare Deptt., Govt. of NWFP. The office bearers of AMA are appointed by the Board of Directors of Abbottonians Medical Association. It is headed by the Chairman, whose job is to look after the general administration of the Association. Then there is the Chief Organiser, who looks after the organizational matters, organizes Free Medical Camps and does the fund raising for the Association. Then comes the Treasurer who along with the Chairman AMA looks after the financial matters of the Association.

AMA has a strength of about fifty Abbottonians medical students at Ayub Medical College. Class representatives (CRs) have been made from each MBBS class. These enthusiastic young members are the real force of AMA. Similarly, female medical students, mainly those associated with Abbottabad Public School & College have also been made Associate Members of AMA. Abbottonians Medical Association is financed purely by donations received from the Old Abbottonians and Philanthropists of the country. Various charity shows are arranged for the fund raising for AMA.
