March 28, 2002- The Mariners in the Minors
is a new section showing minor league cards of some famous and
not so famous players. Next month will be a new page on Buhner in the media including
the famous Seinfeld clip. Come back and enjoy.
February 17, 2002- The Rainiers section has an update with a listing of all the managers in that team's history. Also added is a links page with all the known PCL web sites. This month's Mariner update is a look back at the history of the Buhner Buzz Cut Night. Next month will showcase Mariner Minor League Cards. In the coming months updates will include an expanded Gaylord Perry section, Buhner in the media, and a large site on the 2001 All-Star Game at Safeco Field.
January 19, 2002- In the Rainiers memorabilia section are two examples of the Zeenut baseball cards produced for the Seattle Indians. The next Rainiers update in February will include a links page for all the Pacific Coast League web site I know of. In addition a page listing ever Rainier manager, including their record, will be added. The Seattle Mariners February update will showcase the always popular Buhner Buzz Cut Night. In March you will be able to browse through pages of Mariner minor league cards. Come and see how many you remember. Some went on to become stars and others never made it beyond a hot prospect.
January 12, 2002- Added is the newest member of the Seattle Mariners Dugout Hall Of Fame, Jay Buhner.
August 29, 2001- In the Pacific Coast League section I have added the standings for the 1903 to 1919 seasons.
July 23, 2001- On the main page there is an addition of a new are called In the Press. This page is a listing of publication and activities that have involved the Seattle Mariners Dugout and its webmaster. In the Seattle Rainiers memorabilia section are new images of the Christmas cards. These are not your average cards, they are more like works of baseball art. Also added the career leaders for the Seattle Rainiers. Next update will include standings for the season 1903-1919. This month there are more fan comments added to Fan Memories.
June 20, 2001 - This months addition is the Ichiro Page. Check out the Mariners newest star on the baseball diamond.
May 16, 2001 - Added Safeco Field. Take a look at the history of the best ballpark in the majors.
March 17, 2001 - Added The Mendoza Line. Mario Mendoza, a good defensive shortstop, had performance problems at the plate. Hitting right around .200 for a career average, he will forever be known for the famous "Mendoza Line".
March 4, 2001 - Added the Mariner team stats for the 1999 Season. Also, new autographs have been added to the 1977 Season memorabilia section. Do you remember the Mendoza Line? Come back in a few weeks and find out what it was all about!
February 20, 2001 - Added new sections to the Seattle Rainiers site. Also added information on the old Knothole Gang.
December 28, 2000 - Jay Buhner Boneyard is now open. The Gold Glove rightfielder for the Seattle Mariners has been a fan favorite since 1988 when the Yankees traded him for Ken Phelps.
September 3, 2000 - A brand new section in tribute to the Kingdome. This new page includes construction/destruction pictures, memorabilia, statistics, and much more. Also added is the newest member of the Seattle Mariners Dugout Hall Of Fame, Dave Henderson. Next month the Dugout will finally open the Jay Buhner Bone Yard.
August 7, 2000 - The new Seattle Rainiers page is completed along with a new web address: www.oocities.org/theseattlerainiers/. Some of the added features include two flash movies in tribute to the Rainiers and the Pacific Coast League, more memorabilia, pictures of Sick's Stadium, and more memories. Next month an entire section on the history of the Kingdome will be available.
July 2, 2000 - Added a tribute to Willie Horton. Coming later this month will be new items to the Seattle Rainiers including an interactive FLASH movie on the old Pacific Coast League.
May 3, 2000 - April was a busy month but I finally have at least added Ryan Anderson's page. Also, for the first time on the Net, listen to Leo Lassen call plays from the glory days of the Seattle Rainiers. You must have FLASH 4 loaded on you computer.
February 25, 2000 - Added comments to the Rainiers memories. Also redesigned the page on Dave Niehaus and Players from the Past. The new 1977 section will open on March 15th.
February 13, 2000 - Added Roger Clemens strikes out 20 Mariners, and Nolan Ryan's last game which was here in the Kingdome. Also, updated the Mariner Pocket Schedules with the new 2000 editions. March updates will be a total upgrade of the 1977 Opening Day page. The new section will include the draft, spring training, opening day, season wrap-up, and '77 memorabilia.

December 29, 1999 - Added comments from an e-mail Jay Johnstone sent about his days playing in Seattle for the Angels.
December 23, 1999 - Added Chris Bosio's No-Hitter and Griffey's eight games with a homerun. In January look forward to reading about the history of the Mariner ownership, Buhner hitting for the cycle, and Alex becoming a member of the 40/40 club.
December 11, 1999 - Added The All-Century Team to the Mariners History section. Take a look at the players that impacted the Seattle Mariners in the 20th Century.
December 5, 1999 - Added Lou Piniella autograph and a new page, The Boone Family.
November 17, 1999 - Added a new page, Mariner Fan Memories, for fans to share their favorite moments.
November 7, 1999 - What started in 1995 as a page to show support in keeping the Mariners in Seattle has grown into one of the largest M's fan sites on the Net. With the hiring of a new GM and the future trade of Ken Griffey Jr and Alex Rodriguez, a new era of Seattle baseball will begin. Now was a good time to change the design of the Dugout.
The different era's of baseball in Seattle has been grouped into it's own sub-section. This will hopefully help keep the site organized as it continues to grow over the years. Up-coming in the year 2000 the Dugout will add a tribute page to the long-time home of the team, the Kingdome. Memorabilia from special events including: first Father/Son game with the Griffey's, first three generation baseball family - the Boones, and much more.
