GAME TWO HIGHLITES 
Tornadoes - Lightning 3- 2
Lightning start the game in low gear while Tornadoes took advantage
of the first 10 minute putting pressure on Lightning Defence that
strongly stopped the Tornadoes attacks. From the 12 minute Lightning took
charge and in a defined strong midfield created many chances to score.
At the 22nd minute in a midfield exchange of passes, Guy passes to the
right. Pierce receives and breaks through the wing. Passes it back at the edge
of the penalty box to Guy that nicely sets up Weston for the Shot. He traps it and
his swing shot went behind Tornadoes's Goalie putting Lightning ahead.
Lightning kept on the pressure
and had couple more opportunities to score with shots nicely saved by
Tornadoes's Goal Keeper, and later, with a break from the left Kerry took
a shot from 18 yards that was not well controlled by the keeper and went in the net.
In a midfield loss of control created Lightning's defense trouble. A pass to left to a
Tornadoes left winger, left unmarked by Jason, breaks through on the outside left
going toward the center, where Davey, the sweeper, hesitated backing up instead of closing
the space, gaved the
stricker the opportunity to shoot and to score.
At the begining of the second half,
Tornadoes sent the ball to Lightning's 18 yards, where Jason hesitated to pick it up,
and Robert B. cleared away to the outside left but picked up again
by a Tornadoes player that sent it to the box and in the confusion
Bucky trying to clear it out while still in the air,
instead striked a player and the referee awarded the maximum penalty. A well nice shot to
the right, made it impossible for Jason to make the save. Lightning from there on dominated
the rest of the game with midfield control, and a lot of chances to go ahead
again but could never find the finishing touch. Within four minute from time, Tornadoes
took advantage of a Lightning's defense error with an unexpected break through, to score the victory goal
that left Lightning shocked, leaving little chances to level the score again.
