GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS

Lightning - Stingrays 4 - 2

Wheather conditions: Warm & Sunny.

An outstanding permormace today of Davey, author of all goals today, kept the perseverance of Lightning alive and victorious over Stingrays 4-2. Stingrays went ahead in the 1st ten minute on a PK awarded for a misjudged tackle in the box. Lightning counter attack and Davey created a lot of danger moments and gave Lightning the first goal few minutes later with a nice shot over Stingray's goalie. Lightning playing a pressured game closed Stingrays at midfield and other chances to score from Pierce and Guy weren't finalized until Davey after several dribblings found himself one on one with the keeper and his strike to the far post went in. Moments later from a free kick and he 19 yards Davey again strikes and score. A super momentum for the Lightning team and Davey so brilliant, decicif and vulnerable for the all squad giving the gift to his hat tricks to the team and and easy 2nd half. The second half went smood and the reds were instructed to play more midfield and pressure on every ball and so they did. Lightning scored the fourth with Davey one more time with another long shot that took the keeper by surprise with no chances to touch the ball. Stingrays fired back and with a counter attack found Lightning defence unbalanced and the stricker arrived by the goal mouth strikes and on an angled and diagonal kick that slipped by Jason hands and in the net. More emotional moments with chances created by TJ, Pierce and Davey but the result stayed the same in a very well deserved win for Lightning. The Reds will play on Tuesday with the Cactus Kickers of the U-12 first challenge for Lightning against an older age group team .
