In the school's 38 year history Permian as made the playoffs nearly 70% of the time (this includes the first 6 years of the schools history in which Permian made the playoffs only 1 time).
Since that time, 20 years, Permian has been to the playoffs 78 % of the time. In Texas that's a fairly astounding percentage. Permian was named the "Team of the Decade" in the 1980's.
