  4. Bukit Batok CC Candidate Masters Chess Championship ??/12/00

This CM Championship is the first of its kind in Singapore. We are inviting, as the name suggested, local Candidate Masters to participate in this novel event. The exciting fighting games that are bound to arise will surely help promote this wonderful game in our country. Let the world know that even in our small nation, talents do exist in adundance!

This event will conclude the Bukit Batok's Chess Club activities, with a good reason. Not only CMs are invited, we will also extend our invitation to the champions from our various tournaments held this year. We hope also to rope in a few guest stars, like IM Toh for instance, as an inspiration for our budding chess talents. We also hope that CMs from the pioneering years of chess in Singapore will also join in this event. The clash between CMs from the different era will be a sight to behold!

It is the hope of the entire BBCC Chess Club committee to inspire a significant growth in the interest in chess in Singapore through this event.

We are even prepared to make loses to achieve this worthy aim. A little hint at the extend of our commitment. All qualified players (CMs, champions from our individual events, invited guests) will play for FREE. There will be substantial cash prizes too!

Watch this space for more juicy information!
