This is a one day rapid event of 7 rounds, held on a Sunday morning.
Entry is $5.00 for both children and adults.
Players must register by 9.30am on 04/06/2000 at Cheng San CC else risk disqualification. Game starts at 10am and ends at 7pm.
Closing date of entry is 20/05/2000(Saturday).

There are a total of 16(!) different categories in this event. Participants may choose to join alone or as a team. Each team must have 4 players + 1 reserve. Of course, all the players in the same team must be from the same school.
Due to the large number of categories, this event will last from 05/06/2000(Mon) - 10/06/2000(Sat).

The event MLADI OPEN 2000 is a tournament for young players up to age of 20. It will take place on June 25-29, 2000 in Olomouc as well. There will be 3 categories:
1) FIDE OPEN - players born in 1980 and younger
2) national open A - players born in 1984 and younger
3) national open B - players born in 1988 and younger
For best players are prepared many prizes. The most interesting will be probably 1st prize in FIDE OPEN - free start in round-robin IM tournament of 4th category FIDE in Olomouc (2.-10.8.2000).

I would like to invite You to The 6th International Chess Festival "Festival Schneider Bohemia " Pilsen 2000, which will take place during 19th - 27th August 2000 at "Strelecky stadion" Pilsen Lobzy ( The Czech Republik ).
The main tournament of this Festival is International Open Czech Championship ( 1st prize 20 000 CZK, sum of prizes 60 000 CZK ).

Some tournaments will take place during summer in Olomouc (Czech Republic).
The most important event will be traditional chess festival Olomouc Chess Summer 2000, which will take place on August 2-10, 2000.
There will be organized several tournaments:
1) GM round robin tournament 10th category FIDE (10-12 players)
2) IM round robin tournament 4th category FIDE (10-12 players)
3) FIDE open - 9 rounds, 2/40+1 (August 3-10)
We are looking for players for all our tournaments!
Venue: Horizont Hotel, Pec pod Snezkou town (The Krkonose mountains), Czech republic
Date: 29.10.2000 - 5.11. 2000
System: Swiss system of 9 rounds, results will be included into FIDE rating
Criteria used for ranking and prizes distribution: 1. number of points, 2. Progressive score, 3. Buchholz, 4. average ELO of rivals, 5. lot, prizes are distributed according to Hort system between such number of players which corresponds to number of advertised prizes
Rating: 40 moves per 2 hours and half an hour for each player to finish the match
Tournament prize fund: altogether 20.000 CZK
Financial prizes in CZK (payments in DEM or USD possible, with all prizes 20% tax will be taken off:

Accommodation:
Horizont***hotel - newly rebuilt hotel situated directly in the centre of mountain resort Pec pod Snezkou (756 meters above sea level) in the Krkonose mountains, at the foot of the highest mountain of the Czech republic - Snezka (1602 meters above sea level), parking lot with night security guard as well as roofed swimming pool and fitness centre will be made available to hotel guests free of charge, then for fee will be available such facilities as whirlpool, sauna, solarium, massages, squash, ricochet, billiards, table tennis and mountain bikes, in the hotel there are dancing coffeeroom and night club 2-bed rooms with shower, WC, phone and TV with satellite
Boarding - Meals: in Horizont hotel, starting with dinner on 29.10. and ending with lunch on 5.11.2000.
Overall price of 400 DEM includes accommodation in Horizont*** hotel (1 bed in a two-bed room/7 nights), 7 x full board, starting fee and advantages of a hotel guest
