Back to winning ways!  A game Farnborough dominated from start to finish nearly slipped away from them because of some superb goalkeeping and tenacious defending from Meadow.

Another lightning start led to a first minute finish from Kelly McIlroy, but straight from the restart Meadow ran down the left and equalised.  Despite bombarding the Meadow goal, and a missed penalty, it was nearly half time before Erin House netted a superb lob to make it 2-1 at the interval.  However, the girls had played far better than the scoreline suggested.

The second half was sluggish at the start, and Meadow again equalised through a deflected cross.  Once again, camp was set up in the opposition's half and chance after chance seemed to go begging.  The performance of the Meadow goalkeeper was the best we've seen this season.  Finally, the breakthrough came after hard work by Erin led to her hitting a post, and Kelly netting the rebound.  For good measure, Chloe Nicolson, after yet another superb game, took on the whole defence before finishing one of the goals of the season so far.

The result was no more than the girls deserved in one of their best performances yet.  Chances must have numbered nearly thirty, and persistence told in the end.
