The
Club shall be called BRAINTREE TOWN YOUTH FOOTBALL CLUB. Hereinafter
called “the Club” and shall be affiliated to the Essex County Youth
Association; the Club is the Youth Section of Braintree Town Football
Club. Its
objects shall be to provide association football for its members and
such social and recreative pursuits as may be deemed desirable by the
Committee. The
Officers shall consist of: President, Chairman, Vice Chairman,
Treasurer, Secretary, Fund Raiser and Press Officer. Rule
4 NOMINATION AND ELECTION or
OFFICERS Retiring
Officers shall be eligible for re-election without nomination. All other
candidates for election as Officers shall be nominated in writing by two
members to the Secretary not less than 21 days before the date of the
Annual General Meeting. Names of those nominated shall be circulated
with notice of the Annual General Meeting. In the event of there being
no nominations in accordance with the foregoing for any office,
nominations may be received at the Annual General Meeting. Rule 4A A
form that lists all candidates, including retiring officers who wish to
stand for reelection, is to be given to each Players Parent or
Guardian via the Players’ Team Managers. This form is to be
distributed not less than twenty-one days before the Club Annual General
Meeting. The
Club shall be controlled by the General Committee consisting of Officers
and such other members as shall be Qiected at the Annual General
Meeting. The General Committee shall meet as often as necessary but
always on the first Monday of the month, and the proceedings at such
meetings shall be recorded in a Minute Book. At meetings of the General
Committee, seven (7) members shall form a quorum. Rule
6 POWERS OF THE COMMITTEE The
property and/or assets of the Club shall be vested in the General
Committee. The General Committee has the power to appoint such
sub-committees as may from time to time be deemed necessary and shall
receive reports of such committees at its meetings. The General
Committee shall have the power to expel any member deemed guilty of
conduct prejudicial to the good name of the Club. Rule 6A The
General Committee shall have the power to fill such vacancies as may
arise in its constitution between Annual General Meetings. The General
Committee shall have power to declare a seat vacant should a member
absent himself from four (4) consecutive meetings without an explanation
deemed to be satisfactory. All
non-playing candidates shall be proposed and seconded by club members
before being elected by the Committee. Rule 7A A
register of members of the club shall be kept by the Secretary. Rule 7B In
the event of non-payment of subscriptions by the dates due, membership
shall be deemed to be terminated. A member wishing to resign shall give
notice in writing to the Secretary, such notice to be accompanied by
payment of all Club dues at that date. The
Annual Subscription for Mini-Soccer Teams is to be ten Pounds per season
for each signed-on Player. All other signed-on Players will pay an
annual subscription of fifteen pounds. The sign-on fees for each Player
must accompany the Registration Cards when they are submitted to the
Secretary. Rule 8A If
monies are not paid, disciplinary action will be taken at the discretion
of the Manager. The
Annual Meeting shall be held not later than 30th June in each year. The
Secretary shall give twenty-one (21) clear days notice of such meeting
to all members. The Financial Statement and Secretary’s Report shall
be received by the meeting which will also elect the Officers and
General Committee by ballot, appoint Auditors and transact any other
business. Rule 10 QUALIFICATION OF PLAYING MEMBER Only
boys over nine (9) years on the 1st September of the current season and
under eighteen (18) years of age on the date specified in the relevant
League Rules of the current season may be elected as playing members. Rule
11 EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL
MEETING An
Extraordinary General Meeting may be convened by the General Committee
when deemed desirable and also on the written request of two thirds of
the membership. The Secretary shall give seven (7) clear days notice to
all members of such meetings at which one half of the membership shall
form a quorum. The
General Committee shall have cause to keep proper books of account which
shall be audited yearly. Official receipts for all monies received shall
be signed by the Treasurer. The General Committee shall authorise
cheques to be signed by at least two of its members. Rule 13 ALTERATION TO THE RULE No
alteration in these Rules shall be made except at the Annual General
Meeting or at an Extraordinary General Meeting convened for that purpose
and only if supported by two thirds of those present and voting at such
meeting. Notice of proposed alterations to these Rules first given in
writing to Secretary by 30th April in each year and notified to members
on notice of meeting. Any
matters not governed by the forgoing Rules shall be dealt with by the
General Committee, the decision of which body shall be final and
binding. FA.
Disciplinary fines are at the moment paid by the Club on behalf of
Managers, and ADDITIONAL
RULES APPLICABLE TO PLAYING MEMBERS All playing members shall attend training sessions as arranged by their respective team managers or assistants Rule 16A A
fee of £2.00 (two pounds) will be charged for training sessions, £1 of
which will go into the Fundraising. When more than one training session
takes place within a week, only one session to be charged (per age
group). Any player training with one or more age groups within a week to
be charged for one session only. Rule 16B All
teams/age groups where possible to train outdoors where there is no hire
charge, weather permitting. Any
playing member not available for re-selection for a match shall give his
manager four clear days notice of his non-availability except for
illness prior to the match. All
playing members shall at all times maintain a true sporting manner to: a) all club
officials b) all dub members
(players or otherwise) c) all opposing
team players and officials d) all match
referees and linesmen (Dissent will not be tolerated) Rule 18A Swearing
will not be permitted by any playing member whilst under control of the
club and officials. This includes whilst training, and on match days
either on or off the field of play. Rule 18B Any
playing member guilty of such misconduct shall be reported by the club
official to the General Committee and will be caked before the General
Committee to give a full explanation. The General Committee shall have
the power to suspend or expel the offending player from the club Rule 18C All
playing members’ personal doming must be name tagged; ir., track
suits, shin pads and boots. Rule 18D All
playing members shall provide their own football boots, shin pads and
tie-ups. Rule iSE Kit provided by the dub shall consist of shirts,
shorts and socks. Rule 18E Every
playing member shall be responsible for laundry and care of kit when
entrusted to him. Rule 18F Every
playing member shall be responsible for the replacement of any item of
club kit which is damaged at any time, other than when playing in match
organised by the dub irrespective of how the damage occurred. Rule 18G In
wet weather, all playing members shall bring a towel and a change of
clothes to matches. Rule 18H Football
boots shall not be worn by players whilst travelling to or from matches. No
valuables shall be brought to supervised training sessions or organised
matches, as the club accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to
playing members’ personal property. |
