Races
Welcoming all travelers we tend to see all sorts of races. Here we list some you will encounter more frequently.
Human
The most common race found in Coppervale, humans tend to mistrust other races. They also believe themselves to be the only race truly blessed by the Gods.
High Elf
Tall and willowy, high elves tend to stick together. Like humans, they mistrust other races and just plain don't like outsiders. They believe they are the only intelligent race and even look down at their cousins, the Wood Elves.
Wood Elf
Wood Elves are a fun-loving race unlike their cousins, the high elves, wood elves hardly ever dislike anyone. Some call them "wild elves" because they love nature and feel confined if indoors for too long. The only race they do not like is the Drow.
Drow
Drows are dark elves who have isolated themselves from the rest of the world to pursue their evil endeavors. Drow do not like or dislike anyone for they rarely, if ever, acknowledge that other races exist. Drows are disliked and mistrusted by almost every other race.
Half Elf
Half elves are a mix of human and high elf. Shunned by both races, half elves tend to be wanderers. They are quiet and always keep their guard up. They neither like or dislike others but are extremely cautious about who they trust.
Halfling
A cross between a dwarf and a gnome, halflings are mostly known for their large, hairy feet. Halflings are like kender in their inquisitivness. They trust others to a fault, but can fight fiercely if backed into a corner.
Dwarf
Widely known for their fine craftmanship, dwarves keep themselves pretty much isolated in their mountain home. Men and women both are recognized in their clan by the length of their beard. Drinking and forging is their life. They pretty much distrust all races the same except for the elves who are their sworn enemy for some unknown reason.
Gnome
Gnomes love tinkering and inventing. They tend to talk exremely fast and their words run together in their hurry to get out what they are trying to say. They are short and friendly and think they can come up with an invention for everything. Gnomes do not know the word enemy and do not understand why people instantly become annoyed when talking to them.
Minotaur
Minotaurs are a race of warriors. Half man, half bull, they give the facade that they hate everyone. It would be closer to the truth to say they distrust everyone, even those in their own race. Once someone wins the loyalty of a minotuar, he or she would give their life for that person. This rarely happens due to the fact that minotaurs have very high standards and others are too afraid of them to get to know them. Minotaurs chafe at rules and pretty much do what they please.
Dragon
Dragons are an ancient race of magic users. They have the ability to shapeshift and frequently mingle amongst other races without drawing attention to themselves. They do not dislike others, they merely tolerate their existance
Kender
Kender have child-like features, ears like an elf, and a topknot of hair that they take great pride in. Such as the pride a dwarf takes in his beard. Kender are curious about EVERYTHING and tend to thieve without realizing it. Trying to punish them for a crime is almost impossible due to the fact that they never realize they did something wrong. They are born with the skills of a thief but are highly offended if accused of being one. Fair warning: watch your pockets and vaulables around any kender.
Fae
This group is all generally the same, save for their size. As a group, they are friendly, hyper, and outgoing, and tend to love sweets. Pixes are generally between one and four inches high. Fairies are slightly taller being between three and six inches high. Sprites are next in line at five to twelve inches high. Nymphs are the size of a small human. All have wings compared to those of a butterfly. Nymphs can have their wings disappear with a single word...
Remember!!!
There are exceptions to every race. These are just general descriptions of each.
