TRUST THE PEOPLE - HONOR OUR VOTE RALLY
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2000 @ 1:00 p.m
COURTYARD IN FRONT OF THE FLORIDA STATE CAPITAL
Don't let the Republicans in the Florida
House and Senate ignore your vote!
Also, wherever you live you can be part
of the NATIONAL ORANGE RIBBON CAMPAIGN ON BEHALF OF DISENFRANCHISED
FLORIDA VOTERS
Former U.S. Senator Howard Metzenbaum (D-OH),
Florida State Senator Buddy Dyer, Florida State Senator Kendrick
Meek, Florida State Senator Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and
Florida State Senator Ron Klein will launch a national ribbon
campaign to underscore their strong support for thousands
of disenfranchised Florida voters. The Senators will use the
ribbons to send a message to the nation that in America, every
vote must be counted. And, with the Republicans threatening
to call for a special session to choose Florida's electors,
the Senators will call on them to abandon their efforts to
choose the next president by fiat and continue to push for
a full, fair and accurate count of all the votes in Florida.
The Orange Ribbon Campaign is being launched today in Tallahassee,
Florida at a 1:30 p.m. press conference.
Public events across the country continue
to gain momentum.
