HEAD
Sew side headpieces from neck to nose. Find center of gusset and attach at the nose to the sewn sidepieces. Sew from the nose to the back of head; repeat on opposite side. Leave the neck open for stuffing and joining to the body.
Find positioning for the eyes and attach or sew in place. Use needles to find just the right placement for the eyes, and then attach.
Stuff nose and turn head right side out. Clip a small patch where the nose will be placed or sewn. Stitch nose or attach plastic nose. Stuff the head firmly.

LEGS
Fold leg piece together, starting at 1" from the top of the toe, sew to bottom. Open leg. Find the center of the paw pad and pin in place at the seam just stitched at the toe. Pin pad in place; leave enough room at the heel to stitch back of leg together. Fold leg together and stitch together. Be sure to leave an opening for stuffing and attaching to the body. Turn leg right side out.
Repeat for second leg.

COMPLETION

Insert a joint in the neck opening and run a gathering stitch around the neck. Pull tight and fasten joint into the head. With the awl make an opening in the top of the body. Attach post from head into the body. Fasten securely.

*NOTE: Depending on the type of joint system you chose - you might need to curl the cotter pin to secure the head to the body OR use needle nose pliers to clamp the disc securely over the post.

With the awl make openings in the body at the markings for the arm. Finish stuffing arms and legs. Stitch closed using the ladder stitch. Tie off and hide threads inside arm / leg. Repeat for 2 nd arm and both legs.

When finished brush fur along seams, pulling out any fur that is caught in the seam. Add your own accessories and give your baby bear a name.

Congratulations!
