Ah gee, I've got to admit it --I have a fondness for Stoner. She's a Boston travel agent. Her business partner, Mary Lou, is straight and hates to travel. Her lover Gwen was married when she and Stoner met, and Stoner had to kill Gwen's husband (it was justifiable homicide, officer, really!). Her Aunt Hermione is a good witch. Poor Stoner, with friends like these, it's no wonder she spends so much of her time  solving mysteries while trapped in other dimensions.
