Bush took time to show reporters how satellites now have the power "to see peoples ass cracks when they bends over."

Spaceman Bush

On Tuesday President Bush unveiled further information about the space command position being created in the Pentagon to deal with military and intelligence matters above the earth. The position was first mentioned by secretary of defense Rumsfeld last week, who indicated a consolidation of various agencies under a so-called Space Commission.

The commission would be overseen by a four-star Air Force general, although Bush mentioned that other candidates for the position were "Mark Hamill or the guy that played Darth Vader or maybe even Boba Fett - he was pretty tough." The president was referring to actors and characters from the science-fiction classic film Star Wars, a favorite of his since he saw the film back in 1977 while blasted on coke.

The Bush administration is putting a great deal of effort into the militarization of space and it's desire that the United States be the dominant force above our fragile planet. The secretary of defense mentioned the importance of national security matters during his press briefing last Tuesday.

"Our dependence on operations in space leave us vulnerable to attacks," Rumsfeld said, "so the time has come for us to protect our interests and make sure no one else can use space like we can."

Critics in this nation and around the globe are afraid of the implications of U.S. military presence in the heavens above. Bush countered such claims, saying "we've already got tons of junk up there that could destroys all life on earth - so what's the big deal about a few more killer satellites and stuff?"

Rumsfeld admitted that the U.S. may have nuclear, laser and particle beam weaponry already in space but stressed the administration is dedicated to only the peaceful use of space including, but not limited to, "blowing anything out of the sky or off the face of the planet if it seems a bit shady or not of American origin."

Bush agreed saying that "America is a land of peace and freedom, and only by our conquest of space and the domination of all peoples on earth will our freedom be given a chance to grow and blossom around the world. Amen."
