Was discussing these fellows with Andy Gorman, and we figured that they could be used for an HOTT Sparaticus army...

SPARATICUS

Fantasy Sparticus, based on the Italian Slave Revolts DBA2 lists. Stronghold: Camp Site or Gladitorial Arena.

Hero General (Sparaticus) @ 4AP

1

Blades (Gladiators) @ 2AP

4

Riders (cavalry with captured Roman equipment or Gallic rabel rousers) @ 2AP

2

Hordes (revolting slaves) @ 1AP

6

Beasts (animals freed from the Circus - Maximus, that is!) @ 2AP

1

Alternatives: Magician General (how did Sparaticus loose his bonds?!) @ 4AP, Airboat (captured Roman ship - hey, if you've got a Magician, who say's he can't make it fly?!) @ 3AP, Artillery (either captured Roman artillery or flaming logs careering down a hillside!) @ 3AP.

Use these figures for the Heroes and Blades, perhaps some mounted elements using HaT's Roman and Celtic cavalry (or the Italeri Roman and Celtic Cavalry sets), mix in these chained slaves with some spare poorly armed Barbarian/Greeky-Romany types for the Hordes and, of course, complete the army with a couple of good looking Beast elements using these big cats!
